Ok, so it's my first year going the media route. I suck with directions. I know details haven't been sent out yet, but just trying to figure out some things early on.
What radio station? How far is it from getting in the traffic line? Is it easy to find? What time does the radio station open? Can I pick up my pass on Wednesday? If I get down there on Wed night, can I sleep in the radio station parking lot until morning? Should I time it to where I'm arriving into town as the radio station is letting people pick up their badges?
If it's the same radio station as last year, it's a few miles from the farm, a very small building but you'll know it by the line of people. You have to wait in line with everyone else picking up tickets at will call (last year I waited about 45 minutes). Hope this helps. See you in June ;D

is the radio station easy to find? is it close to the highway or will i have to travel around town on some backroads? do you think the traffic will be backed up before the exit i use for the radio station?
maybe i'll plan on picking it up sometime wednesday during the day
if i do that, could i just hang out in walmarts parking lot, and spend the night until the morning, then drive to the festival to get in the traffic line?
when should we expect more details, like directions to the radio station or any other stuff like that?
It was actually easier getting in last year from the radio station. I probably only was in line for an hour and a half until I got in.

sounds great to me, i think the 2 times i've been, i waited in line between 4 and 7 hours
do you remember what time you were at the radio station, how long it took to get your pass, and about what time you were in line and what time you got in?

I left Knoxville around 9 i think, and got to the radio station around noon on thursday. I didnt have to wait in any line at the radio station. I walked right in and picked up my pass. Then I went and got in line, and was probably setting up camp around 2 or 3. It was a hell of a lot faster than when I went in 2004 and waited in line forever.

hmmm...maybe i'll try this route...i'd like to be in the gates and have my camp set up by 4 at the latest, with the first show i want to see starting about 5....
anyone know how late people keep coming in? the 2 times i've been we were in and set up probably around 2 or 3 at the latest...i mean, are people still getting thru the gates at like 7 or 8?
