What do you guys and gals have left to do to prepare for Roo? Today I cleaned out my car, trunk and all, and actually went to the trouble of dragging out most of my Roo pile and seeing how it will all fit. Looking good and with room to spare!
I've set up my whole... setup.. several times now and it looks awesome. No big problems and I can get the whole thing up in about 10 minutes. Can't wait to do it for real!!
I just need a few more things, food and duct tape and so forth. About to go out and get a lot of it (other than perishables) right now. I'm thinking I might have to set it all up again this weekend and stay in it for a night or two just to sate my Bonnaroo hunger a little bit. I can't wait I can't wait I can't wait. ;D
Anyone else going to ridiculous lengths in preparation?

I just did another round of seam sealing on my tent. Waiting for that to dry so I can stick the tent out in the storm that's supposed to be here tomorrow. I still have to set up the EZ-up and test out my homemade extension idea for it. We'll see if that works.
Last thing to do is go to the toy store and clean them out of shiny flashing things.

Haven't prepared too heavily.....but I plan on doing so this weekend a lot. Some shopping for supplies and going through the garage to see what I have and what I need. It's always so exciting around this time.
Heh- we have done nothing this year - we have two ez ups but because of the RV this year - there is not alot to do.
So lucky. One day i'll get to Roo with an RV.....one day.
In all honesty - the only thing I am looking forward to is being able to sleep from 8-11 a.m. other then that - the tent was fine - even the portos were not a real nightmare - as long as you are prepared - they can be dealt with
It's my first roo, so I've pretty much been picking up bits and pieces of stuff I"m gonna be bringing with me over the past couple weeks. Just got a 150qt 5 day cooler last night, so all that's left really is food i do believe. My buddy and me are getting together tonight to go over the checklist and make sure we have everything and then we plan to do a couple dry runs of set up over the next couple weeks to make sure everything is good and we are ready to claim our land fast as soon as we get there. Also waiting to hear from another friend I might be either picking up in jersey so we can map out the trip from Vermont.
It's not as lucky as you might think. I went with an RV the last two years and decided to go the tent route this time around. We had to haul the thing with a truck for 5 hours, spending WAY north of $100 in gas (esp last year) for a camper we used for no more than a couple hours a night. This year we're saving the cash and tenting it. We have our list. We have our shopping list divided among the group. We still need to pick up some food (later) and prolly pick up a few of those tiny, three-legged camping chairs. We've upgraded our vehicle so we don't have to worry too much about space. It's the waiting that's the killer.

Oh i'm with ya. That's what i'd want as well. I'd spend the days outside.....but being able to sleep on a bed away from the sun would be great. I'm fine with the camping but I bet RV is just that much easier all around.

I'll let you know in about 4 weeks, k? LOL Truthfully - all the arrangments and who is picking it up and where and all have been a general pain
Im all prepared, I finally got everthing I needed last weekend and I already had alot of stuff left over from last year. Just have to pack and i'll be all ready to go. Cant believe were only three weeks away!
This is the only year (of my 4 bonnaroos) that I haven't gone crazy in preparation. Not that I'm not excited, just been out of town and busy lately to get too worked up. The first week of June I will officially freak out and start gathering things up. Just think...three weeks from this evening we'll be hearing the first sweet sounds of Bonnaroo. Ahhhhh
I still need to seam-seal my tent, buy a reflective tarp to keep the sun out and probably find a few good tent poles. My wife and I are setting camp up (again) this weekend with the sole purpose of cleaning the hell out of the inside of the tent..... aside form that, I need to find a new straw hat!!!!!!

I still have not been able to set up tent or seam seal... grr... I was expecting to be able to get the whole thing up this weekend because up until today there was not a chance of rain over the weekend... grrr... now rain is forecasted..... Oh well. We have our pile and drinks ready... I guess we'll seam seal it when we set up a Waka.... Oh well.... if the tent gets wet it's not a big deal.... I'll be at ROO and nothing else matters when you're at roo!

We have a RV again this year, couple of ez ups, a few tarps, chairs. We will shop for water/beer/red bulls when we land in Birmingham Alabama to pick up RV. I would say that I have an easy time preparing this year BUT there's this 7 month old daughter we have to worry about. Diapers, food, comfort, safety, travel gear, toys, videos, baby sunglasses, ear plugs, baby hemp dresses etc, she gets two large suit cases, I get my pair of board shorts, flops and some t shirts, all in my back pack. We are refining our check list, we are listening to all the bands, we cannot wait.

because this is my second roo and i know exactly what i need, and more importantly what i dont need i have not done very much to prepare. i pretty much picked up the last of what i needed yesterday in a hat, sunglasses and sunblock. i just need some fruit, beef jerky (for the wonderful centroo security ) and a couple gallons of water which im gonna wait till the final week to buy.
Well today I bought a bunch of batteries for stuff (fans, camera, whatever) and tried to test my new fan out but its not working. and i am fixing to go through my roo pile again. i love planning for roo. i think its fun!

i'm glad im not the only one who goes through their stuff. i have it all in this big rubbermaid (which i'm not sure can fit in the car now that we have another person) and i like to ... put things in it.
I exist in a state of semi-preparation. I literally kept my camping stuff in my truck all summer.
I'm starting to get in a higher state of preparation. I'll be setting up my camp in the yard for practice, cleaning, and airing out soon. I'll go through my festy in and replentish necessaries. I'll be buying alot of bottled water and freezing most of it.
I can definitely feel my anticipation growing each day. It's a good thing I have Wanee the week before.

I feel so unprepared but after this beach trip this weekend it's crunch time! I think I just feel anxious about it because I'm a worrier and an over planner but since I'm a vet I feel as though I'm pretty prepared already... we have a tent, 2 coolers, tarps, extra tent stakes, a mallet, fans, ect... I'm thinking the only thing we don't have for sure is a shade tent (which will be purchased within the next week). I just can't wait to get back Tuesday and start all my obsessive planning. We plan to dry run twice before 'Roo, I'm thinking that should be fine. I've just never waited until this late in the game to plan... Oh well, I'm not too worried... if we forget something I'm sure we'll be fine either way. It's Bonnaroo!
Next weekend is my trial run camping trip, spending this weekend doing the final little preparations so I'm almost ready! Will be much easier with this after experiencing roo last year!
Dude, I seriously can't concentrate on anything but bonnaroo right now. . .It's to the point where I'm poking myself in the eye with foreign objects. . . I think I just need to be sedated until Tuesday. . . . Dystopian Dream
Well, we just had last minute plans, and are now camping instead of going in an RV. It's my first roo, so I can't say I'll miss anything, but I was looking forward to being able to sleep late. Luckily we already have more than enough gear, and we had already hit up costco for most of our non-perishable items. All that's left is food and booze, which we'll pick up the weekend before....and I may invest in a solar shower, haven't decided yet. I'm so freakin excited!!! ;D
