The Industrial Revolution changed the face of the modern novel forever. Discuss, citing specific examples.
it did for a number of reasons
it made printing easier so that more books could be printed and more people read them
as everyone who had learned how to read could read the novels the style of them changed to have mass appeal instead of just appealing to the few who had the time, money and ability to read (you certainly wouldn't have had trashy novels like the twilight series written before the Industrial revolution - the market then was much more discerning)
as the industrial revolution progressed people had more and more leisure time to read and wanted something entertaining rather than educational.

What are your 3 favorite current TV shows? Why? the office because it is hilarious, mythbusters because i like watching them build and destroy things and the first 48 because i like watching murders being solved.
What are your 3 all-time favorite TV shows? Why? the office because it is hilarious, scrubs when it use to be hilarious and crash because it always kept me on the edge of my seat and dennis hopper was awesome.
What was the last book you read? How was it? i'm reading judge & jury now, because my wife brought it home from work. it's ok.
What are your 3 all-time favorite books? Why? all of the hannibal books, a time to kill and cold mountain. i just got into reading again a few years ago and i just started reading all the books from movies that i liked and the book is always better than the movie.
