Whether it's your first Bonnaroo or you’re a music festival veteran, we welcome you to Inforoo.
Here you'll find info about artists, rumors, camping tips, and the infamous Roo Clues. Have a look around then create an account and join in the fun. See you at Bonnaroo!!
Is there any act at Roo that you hate? Who and why?
alt-J. juust kidding I freaking love them.
I don't really hate any music (blame in on my choir days), but the artist I like the least right now is Animal Collective... for whatever reason when I try to listen to their music it makes my brain hurt/makes me feel like Corky Romano after ingesting all that coke (i.e., craaazy).
Pancakes or waffles?
1000% pancakes. all that yummy, fluffy goodness uninterrupted by those silly squares. duh.
If you were stuck in the desert and had to drink your own pee to survive how long do you think you'd go before you'd be willing to drink it?
probably to the brink of death. I get that it's totally possible, but ewww. ew.
I feel like the answer here should be grizzly? but I actually love pandas. they're so huge and adorable and strange.
What is your favorite under recognized holiday?
does the summer solstice count? I think there should be a huge celebration for that every year. it's amazing. if not, then maybe Columbus Day. because he was kind of an idiot.
it's 2 am, steak & shake, taco bell, or dennys?
Denny's. moons over my hammy and oreo pie. unless it's the kind of 2 am where sitting in a booth requires more coordination and ability to appear coherent than is possible in that moment, in which case, Taco Bell.
What's one specific thing at Roo you are most excited about? (non-musical)
that's easy! meeting all of the beautiful inforoosters
depends on the day/occasion. in general, probably cheddar + sour cream. for cookouts, I tend to go with classic Lay's with French onion dip.
What was your favorite cartoon growing up?
so many good ones! probably "Jem and the Holograms" (it was the 80's and she was awesome), but I also feel like "Darkwing Duck" was way underrated. oh also "The Smurfs", but that's mostly because I wasn't really supposed to watch it. I went to a Christian school and they deemed it inappropriate since Gargamel was a warlock. so whenever I watched it I felt like a badass.
If you had to have a cow or a pig, which would you take? Why?
a micro pig, because:
If you had to move to another country, where would you move?
Britain because they have better TV shows.
What has been your favorite Halloween costume?
as a child:
as an adult: a saucy pirate
Pirates or ninjas? Why?
totally ninjas. I may have been unduly influenced by hours spent playing Mortal Kombat as a kid.
If you had to change your first name, what would you change it to?
hmm. maybe Haven, because I like it. or Ryan, Henley, or some other more androgynous name.
What is your favorite football team in the state of SC?
that's an easy one. USC Gamemale chickensall the way! just kidding. I think I am contractually obligated to answer this question with "the Clemson Tigers"!
How would you rank the books in the Dark Tower series from best to worst?
I (grabbed and hooked at the opening line), VII (finally, a resolution, ish), IV + V (meatier and more interesting), II, III, + VI, The Wind Through the Keyhole (so excited for more DT).
What's your favorite condiment?
honey mustard. I could eat it in large quantities all by itself. spoiler: and I have. it was delicious.
What is your worst Bonnaroo conflict?
Portugal. The Man vs. Four Tet vs. Tallest Man on Earth. I probably shouldn't have listened to any of the artists I didn't already know, now I want to see them all!
What is the best thing about Inforoo so far?
everything. the people are awesome, there is so much good advice, it's entertaining and informative. I'm fairly addicted actually.
What is the worst thing about Inforoo so far?
that I lost mafia! still bitter. just kidding, but not really. a little.
What does your Saturday Bonnaroo schedule look like?
Lord Huron> beginning of TMOE> PTM> Nas> beginning of Cat Power> Bjork> Lumineers> Mumford> beginning of R Kelly> Jim James superjam> Bustle
Have you been ever to other music festivals before? List and describe.
only Bonnaroo, in 2009 + 2010. both amazing experiences that I can't wait to repeat! hoping to make MOEMS this year too.
The Wire or the Sopranos?
TBH I have never seen an episode of either. I know, I know.
What are your favorite pizza toppings?
extra cheese. but I will eat pretty much anything on a pizza except onions or mushrooms.
If you could hang out with any three people, living or dead, fammous or not, for all of Bonnaroo, who would they be and why?
Neil Gaiman + Amanda Palmer because I think they would be cool to hang with anywhere. and Theodore Roosevelt. because he also seems like he knew how to have a good time. (note: if the question can include fictional characters, then The Doctor and Moriarty make the list).
Do you think you're doing a better job of being BMOTM so far than Rosko did in April?
well, to be fair I think he was sort of killed with a million questions. I am just a huge nerd with the aforementioned inforoo addiction, plus I don't sleep so that helps with the whole having-time-to-answer-questions bit.
What is your biggest irrational fear?
um. boredom? I don't know. I don't like for people I don't know to touch me but it's not really a fear. that my pets might suffer from a shared psychotic break and try to kill me?
What is your biggest rational fear?
scorpions. I don't mind spiders, snakes, or any other insects/reptiles/what have you, but scorpions freak me the f out. there is some car commercial with a girl lying on the beach and a scorpion walks across her back- I literally cannot watch it. creepy little sons of b's.
Favorite vacation spot?
Isle of Palms, SC- we go at least 2-3 times a year and it's gorgeous. not crowded, not touristy, just the sand and the ocean. also, Key West has a super chill/eclectic vibe. and the Bahamas.
What are your thoughts on Kanye West?
OMG I wish I was having his baby instead of that dumb Kardashian girl! sike. he's so hopped up on himself, it's hard to say. I like his music alright, but he kind of sucks at being a person.
(note: if the question can include fictional characters, then The Doctor and Moriarty make the list).

okay but let's not get crazy!
- What's the best bar in downtown Greenville? for hanging with friends: City Tavern or Barley's for picking up frat boys: Ford's Oyster House for dancing: Wild Wings for watching strangers have sex: The Blue Martini
- Better Heisman candidate: Jadaveon Clowney or Tajh Boyd? I feel like this is a Clemson vs. USC question. I can't really answer because I don't follow football closely, but I like Clowney's name better.
- If you could change one thing about the Bonnaroo experience, realistic or not, what would it be? honestly, nothing. it's so amazing, and I think even the heat, the walk, and the lack of plumbing contribute to the community spirit. although, of course I am going VIP this year for the first time...
- What's your spirit animal? Tigger
- How many days will it rain this Roo? one: Thursday. bring on the mud!
- If you were a hot dog would you eat yourself? only if I were a kosher dog!
- Cotton candy or funnel cakes? definitely going with option c)both, as long as I can sit down. if I'm eating and walking, cotton candy because I am a total klutz and would spill the funnel cake.
- Who's your favorite comedian and what bit turned you on to them? geez. maybe, Louis CK, and I don't remember but here's a good one:
honorable mention for one of my fave bits from another comedian (Anjelah Johnson, who I first saw as Bon Qui Qui):
- If you could cancel one current TV show, never to be heard from again, which one gets the ax? the entire Bachelor franchise. srsly. I cannot handle it. they're all on an amazing journey, and there for the right reasons, and falling in love. dude, I would also fall in love with the guy if I were stuck in a house with 25 women and no other interaction.
- Which actor gets to be the star in your biographical movie? Zooey Deschanel. - Finish this sentence: "If I died tomorrow, I would be remembered for...?" hopefully, having truly lived every minute of my life. having ADHD helps a lot with that, I'm pretty much always in the present moment
- What's your dream job? nurse practitioner/researcher at St. Jude's. also, being an NP with Doctors Without Borders for a couple of years. hoping to make at least one of those come true!
- Who is the biggest celebrity you've ever met? meh. Tommy Lasorda? (he owned the Lonestar Steakhouse franchise when I worked there, and signed an LA Dodgers hat.) Edwin McCain. I'm not really a "thrilled by celebrity" person. my daughter met Steven Soderbergh when he directed her in a scene in The Hunger Games movie. that was pretty cool. - Rank in order of importance to a rock band: Guitarist, bassist, drummer, vocalist (assuming the vocalist isn't also the guitarist) 1. vocalist 2. guitarist 3. drummer 4. bassist
- If you could play one tune on piano proficiently what would it be? I can actually play several, I took piano lessons my entire childhood. my fave is probably "Fur Elise".
- Symphonic music or Jazz music? symphony. I love the sound of a full orchestra, it makes me tear up. - What's the furthest you've ever traveled for a show? Bonnaroo! it's a 5-ish hour drive. otherwise, probably 2 hrs to Charlotte NC. - Which of the three Superjams are you the LEAST excited for? Ed Helms bluegrass
- How do you like being BMOTM so far? I liked it until this set of questions. kidding.
-How much wood, would a wood chuck chuck, if a wood chuck could chuck wood? I'm looking for an exact answer >If you could bring any dead musician back for a one night concert who would it be? (not in zombie form of course) -Dirty bathroom, hold it or power through? >The one place you would most love to visit and why? -Something new that you would like to learn how to do? >If you could put together your own superjam who would be in it? -favorite 80's song that you must sing along to? >If you had to be in the movie Cloverfield or Dawn of the Dead, which would you choose and why? -If you could go to space or the deepest part of the ocean which would you choose? >Do you believe there is other life in space?
-How much wood, would a wood chuck chuck, if a wood chuck could chuck wood? I'm looking for an exact answer 1.53 bushels.
>If you could bring any dead musician back for a one night concert who would it be? (not in zombie form of course) Patsy Cline. I don't even like country music, per se, but her voice just gets me. although, zombie Patsy would be cooler. honorable mention: Tupac. -Dirty bathroom, hold it or power through? well, considering the general state of all the portos at roo by day 3, power through. if you are holding out for a nice clean one you're peeing your pants basically.
>The one place you would most love to visit and why? Arenal, Costa Rica. because it looks amazing, and I want to zip line through the rain forest next to a volcano.
-Something new that you would like to learn how to do? read microexpressions.
>If you could put together your own superjam who would be in it? Paul, Petty and OMAM. I don't know if they could actually play/sing together but I feel like it would work.
-favorite 80's song that you must sing along to? that's a trick question. the answer is: all. but especially, "I Think We're Alone Now". I also have some pretty sweet dance moves for this one.
>If you had to be in the movie Cloverfield or Dawn of the Dead, which would you choose and why? Cloverfield. because I want to wreak mad havoc. I'm casting myself as the monster of course. -If you could go to space or the deepest part of the ocean which would you choose? space. I think I would probably literally die if I went down that far under the ocean. I am a little bit agoraphobic. (ok, a moderate bit).
>Do you believe there is other life in space? probably. I think it's a little arrogant to assume we are the only planet in the universe with viable life. I'm holding out for ET. or ALF.
You're at dinner with your father, mother, brother, aunt, uncle, two cousins (children), a couple that is friends with your parents + their granddaughter who is a baby, and your father's former boss from several years ago. You're sitting at a long, communal style table. Do you sit at the middle of the table or on the end?
You’re in a desert walking along in the sand when all of the sudden you look down, and you see a tortoise, Tony, it’s crawling toward you. You reach down, you flip the tortoise over on its back, Tony. The tortoise lays on its back, its belly baking in the hot sun, beating its legs trying to turn itself over, but it can’t, not without your help. But you’re not helping. Why is that?
So emoney is July BMOTM? This oughta be interesting. Unleash the sang_xcx!
so I don't have to pick someone? ok then, have at it emoney the torch has been passed! although I will still answer the last few questions
You can pick someone else. Usually the new BMOTM is asked first before to make sure they are okay with it and have the time to keep up with it. For example of how BMOTM can go wrong, just look at A$AP Rosko's month. I was more joking because being BMOTM is probably one of emoney's top 5 fears.

probably I run. or I said I was sick and couldn't make it to dinner. if forced, though I guess, sit on the end? who would choose the middle of that kind of chaos? I do like the random "granddaughter who is a baby" bit though.

ummmm. because you are a sociopath? why is the turtle in the desert?
Did you do Silent Disco? Ferris Wheel? Water Slide?
Some questions about this year's Roo!
Favorite set? -that's easy, Paul. hands down. so amazing! Most disappointing set? -probably the Lumineers, just because of sound/crowd issues. we weren't allowed into the VIP area because it was too crowded, there were so many people packed in everywhere and as mentioned so many times, you just can't stand in the back at Which and really enjoy the show.
Set that surprised you the most? -Bjork. I didn't really know what to expect and she was so incredible. I had the worst migraine and tried to nap during Nas, which was impossible because he was so loud. truthfully I was in a terrible mood, but trying to get pumped up for Lumineers/Jack Johnson/R. Kelly/superjam... so I wandered into the VIP tent to get some gatorade and lie down on a beanbag under the AC and chill out. I heard the music walking to the tent and it was awesome. when I walked in, I literally sat down/collapsed on a bean bag and just stared at the screen. I wish I could have been watching in person, but watching on the screen while it was happening on the other side of the fence was all I could manage at that point. she was so beautiful, ethereal, so genuine- it was obvious how much she connected to the music and just the pure joy of doing what she loves. it completely rejuvenated my soul and got me ready to get back to centeroo and into the groove. Most memorable moment? -singing "Ob-La-Di, Ob-La-Da" and "Hey Jude" with what felt like the whole world in a truly magical moment in time.
Something you'd change for next time? -get more sleep the night before! I always say that and it never happens because I am always so excited! maybe next year... Most interesting thing you saw?I -the usual costumes, LED lights, painted boobs... I don't really know. I love it all! Did you do Silent Disco? Ferris Wheel? Water Slide? -no and I had every intention of doing both the Silent Disco (which I've never done) and Ferris Wheel (which I love). roo is both the longest and shortest 4 days of the year- I am so amazed by the amount of shows/activities/food that get packed in but there is still always stuff I want to do.
alright then, officially emoney is up for July BMOTM!
here are some first questions:
-what is your earliest memory? -what would you do if you won the lottery? -sour patch kids or gummy bears? -if you could travel to the moon but it was on a shuttle in a seat next to Justin Beiber would you still go?
