I should have thought to post this earlier, but oh well. But, if I can convince a single person to go to this, then I have done my part. Anyone on this board reading this that lives close to Martinsville should check this out. Rooster Walk is a new festival that was started in honor of two young Martinsville locals, and music lovers, that passed away within the past year. It is a two night, one day festival with some good bands, mostly from VA and NC. Tickets are only $20 online and $25 at the gate, and camping is $10 per vehicle. The festival is this weekend (again, I should have posted this earlier). All profits go towards creating a scholarship in name of the two people who are being honored. So if you live in southwest VA, or close by, and you don't have any plans for Memorial Day Weekend, then you might want to consider going.
Headliners this year include Karl Denson's Tiny Universe, The Infamous Stringdusters, The Lee Boys, Anders Osborne, Particle, & The Pimps of Joytime. My band The Amazing Mongooses are also playing, so check us out regardless.
