Bonnaroo camping is a experience in its own. So how do you like to do it? I have brought 1-2man tents, hammock, and one year back of my truck with a tarp over the bed. It can rain hard and flood at bonnaroo so being on the ground isn't my first option, thats why I picked Hammock with tarp for this year. Let me hear some other people plans for this year. If I left any other ways to camp lets hear that too.

solo with rented SUV. not much of an outdoorsman so no tent setup, just bringing an EZ Up that i hope i can get help setting up. Lay the seats down in the SUV and bring like a futon mattress to lay/sleep on. last year was my first roo and i will never wake up soaking wet in a tent again...me and my girl scrapped the tent idea after thurs night and just slept in the front seats of the car with them adjusted back...it worked out ok.
This will be my first bonnaroo. But I dirt bike almost every other week in northern MI all summer long, and always car camp at the event site for the weekend. I have tried many things, from tents to cots. The best thing I have tried so far is a twin mattress in the back of my Xterra with an 14'x12' E-Z Up over it so I can have the widows down and not worry if it rains. I also have a 10x10 E-Z Up I have beside the truck for my camping stuff like table, chairs, cooler and stuff. I will use this setup with some mods with tarps for bonnaroo between 2 vehicles. I will also use a kelty grand mesa 6 man tent for changing and keeping the coolers in, you can stand up in the middle of it. I just hope we will have enough room for it all in two car spots side by side.

I got a truck tent. Camped out in it with my son a few weeks ago and it is awesome. Gets you off the ground and saves room for all your stuff behind your vehicle.
Bonnafort with a medium tent and a double feather mattress inside. Just gotta make sure your floor seams are sealed, and lay down an extra ground cover just to be safe.

Normally at festivals I'll camp in my small 1-man tent. It's nice and small and compact, so when the gusts pick up it's not going to be caught in the wind as easily as some of the larger tents. But at Bonnaroo, I think I'm going to go with my dad's large 6 man tent which he left me. I used it in 07, and the side flaps and overall space are so much nicer when it comes to 8 am than my small enclosed oven of a tent I'd use otherwise. Plus, this way I can bring in a cot and nap on that for when sleep is necessary.
Last year it was me and a girl... we had no trouble sleeping in a 3 man tent on a queen sized air mattress. This year my group is just 3 dudes. I just spent this weekend camping a couple nights in the same tent on the same air mattress with a couple other people and it worked out comfortably well. I am certain this setup will work well for us this year, though I am bringing a cot to put out under the shade canopy just in case someone doesn't want to sleep in the tent. The interior of my truck is black with leather seats, so I am 100% sure that it is not going to be inviting at all for anyone to sleep in.
We go with a big tent (maybe a 9 person?). I have to be able to stand up inside or else I feel too trapped. Plus its nice to be able to fit our two queen air matresses and all our stuff inside.

last year we had an 8 person tent that 5 people slept in (we drove down with 4 but one of my friends flew down and had no tent hes making up for it this year by driving us all there ;D)
this year i have a 4 person tent that me and someone else can sleep in so hopefully the other two im going with have a tent haha
Anyone got pictures of their setup that they can share? So far I'm going with 1 friend, and we'll each have our own small "2 person" tent. We're still looking around for a cheap, but sturdy, shade canopy, and are hoping to outfit that with extra tarps for added shade. Now it looks like a few more friends might be camping with us, bringing their own tents as well. Any ideas on a "tent castle"?
Taking my "3 person" REI Quarter Dome T3 tent, an EZ Up, several tarps, and a cot. I'll probably end up doing most of my sleeping on the cot under the EZ Up/tarps, leaving the tent to my Roo partner if she even wants to use it. We'll see how that works out.
