Any ideas on what would be the best route to take from the lexington area to the farm? I google mapped it and they said to head down through bowling green then on through to nashville. Any thoughts on this route being the way to go or should I investigate taking another path?
of course if you are worried about it, you can follow me, i went last year.
yeah man i would totally be down for following you. I just moved up here from florida not that long ago so im still clueless as far as roads go. Any thoughts as to when you are gonna be heading out?
Yep, Googlemaps will give you the most direct route from Lexington to Roo.
I remember a year or two years ago a couple inforoo members from Lex (I think it was Boots and Mulcherries) took backroads instead of the interstate which I think would be kind of cool. You could try PMing them for those directions if you're interested in doing something like that...although I haven't seen either of them around here for quite a while.

that would be rad but i have the worst sense of direction. i would need precise directions.
sunny D is right. Every year i go, i take a back cut in the middle of the night Wednesday. totally under the radar and more exciting than the interstate for me.
I've never led the way though, and never bothered to learn the route. I do know it gets kinda tricky somewhere around Boyle County and you can get lost. My good friend made the ride solo in 2007 and got lost as fvck, and has learned the route well. I will ask him, and if i can get a response in time, i will post it up.
