Just wondering if people here want to designate a place where those of us not so st8, can maybe meet each other during the fest? Perhaps there's a an area where folks can go at night or just kinda go to and maybe see others who are hoping to make friends/ maybes even find someone to kiss while all our st8 friends are busy hooking up! First time so not sure, at langerado there was for example an area around this cheesy ferris wheel where people could have passed by and made eye contact or something - what do people think?

Yeah...there is really self-righteous people everywhere just waiting to judge you. I heard you have to meet up at shows of artists who are either extremely gay friendly or gay themselves. There will be NO exceptions. So maybe chill over by Ani or Grizzly Bear...just read your artist bios closely to see who is REALLY gay. If you are caught by security trying to solicit same sex festy love anywhere near a non-gay artist or in the campgrounds, you will be subjected to being hit with bibles and marched straight to a makeshift tent where they will show you a video called, "Straightening Out at 'Roo" which is an hour long and mandatory.

I'm sure there are plenty of bi/gay people going to 'roo. As I am bi and one of my friends who is riding with me is gay. But I don't really think we will be looking for other people with the same sexual preference since our minds are set on the amazing music.
There actually is another thread around here somewhere about this. I'll see if I can find it for you - there are quite a few GLB on here - not sure about the T - that's why I left that one off - LOL
I wasnt hating either, I just find it kind of strange that you are using this message board to solicit what seems to be anonymous sex
Well we do have the mingle if your single, and sex at roo threads. So it is not like he is doing anything new on the board.
yeah, that why I thought it was a lil weird to have a whole thread about it in the general sections. Also I guess it was more the "where people could have passed by and made eye contact or something" sentence that made me find this pretty funny.
i hear everyone - esp, chelsea! I am definetely going there for the music - but at other fests its like when we are all feeling good, and lots and lots of st8 people are able to connect romanticly ( not just for hookups - ad my post wasn't even about that) i cant help but tthink it would be cool if the thousands of gay/bi curious people had a way to find each other - besides having to go to a so called gay artists show - glad this post is taking off tho!

That was the sentence that made me spew my beer.
Why would you need a secret place to pass by just because you aren't out, especially if the plan is to hook up anyway?

I don't think you'll have any trouble finding people with the same sexual preference since it a hugely diverse group. I do remember seeing a thread (it may have been lst year) but I can never find anything through the search option!! If there is one I'll bet Meg will end up finding it.

I recallreading something about the silent disco being a good place to see other gay people. But really, 'roo has plenty of visible gay people. Not as many as coachella, but there are plenty. You'll see HRC symbols, pink triangles, rainbow & bear flags and people you just know are gay (gaydar). Wouldn't be surprised if the white knots are popular this year too... if you are looking for others, you'll find them.
