Is that the Technica LP120? Was thinkin' of copin' me one in a week or so.
It's the Technics SL1200MK2, the iconic (but while in production inexpensive) DJ turntable that is also great just for playing records. Cartridge is the Ortofon 2M Black, phono pre kind of tucked away there is the TTVJ-Millett Hybrid. The enormous black box is an old Singlepower Supra headphone amp.
PSA: A lot of the Singlepower stuff is literally dangerous because the guy who used to build them was reckless with his designs and with his customers money. But now he's on the run and certain kind individuals in the headphone community refurbish his previously dangerous products, and mine is one of those that has been refurbished/safetified. So don't go around buying Singlepower shit unless you are very familiar with who fixed it.
There are only 44 remaining at this time, so jump on it fast if you want one! With shipping, it comes out to $39 USD (damn that giant ocean it has to cross!). Limited to 500.
Edit: And it's sold out. Wonder how long it was on sale.

Oh man, I wish I hadn't have seen these William Onyeabor box set vinyls! I really want both of them ($85 and $75), but there's no way I should be spending that on vinyl right now. Maybe I'll just pick up "Who Is William Onyeabor?" on vinyl instead ($30), since it's sort of a greatest hits collection.
Some record stores are giving away a white 7" vinyl single from Alabama Shakes with the pre-order of the new album. It's limited edition with an exclusive non-album B-side.
I gotta work all day Saturday startin' at 8am when my local store opens. I might get a break 'round 2pm, but I figure the few items I really want will be gone by then and I'll be payin' out the ass on eBay. I think my #1 is the St. Paul and the Broken Bones covers 7", so if anyone here picks one up that doesn't want it (yeah right) please lemme know!
Black Star - Fix Up/You Already Know 7" Neko Case - Fox Confessor Brings the Flood Marvin Gaye - How Sweet It Is (To Be Loved By You) 7" The Replacements - The Replacements EP 10" RPM Turntable Baseball (because why not) Wu-Tang Clan - Protect Ya Neck 7" Run the Jewels 12"

Was going to make a separate thread but might as well keep it here. I made my initial list earlier today but I have to go through it again and split it up by "Must have" and "could live without".
Just found out that Third Man IS shipping out a bunch of the Elvis replica 10"s to a bunch of record stores across the country. I might be camping out now...

This will be my first Record Store Day. Any tips? What to look out for this year? Is the whole store usually discounted or just certain releases?
Discounted? If anything prices should be up lol. It's more about the exclusive releases than it is about any discounts.
Find your local store you plan to go to and call/send a facebook message to see what they recommend and how crowded it gets or how early people line up. The folks at my local store get there a good couple of hours earlier than it opens.

Adding it to the list.
We are lucky in that Columbia has 3 record stores that are all doing RSD. And they are all on the same block. Just gotta get the open rotation down...
