So if you're looking to kick start your jazz collection, I'd look into this. This package was gifted to me several months ago and while I have them all, it's still a pretty sweet deal for the price.
I got :
Ella Fitzgerald And Louis Armstrong - Ella's & Louis Charles Mingus- Ah Um Stan Getz / Joao Gilberto - Getz / Gilberto Duke Ellington/Charlie Mingus/Max Roach - Money Jungle Eric Dolphy - Out To Lunch
If I was guaranteed the Dexter Gordan and Wayne Shorter albums, I'd gladly pick it up.
E: It's literally $35
I don't know Out to Lunch, but the other 8 are all killers and I actually have none of them, so thanks for sharing this

Out To Lunch is a favorite. It stands as one of few Blue Note forays into free jazz. Saxophonist Dolphy and trumpeter Freddie Hubbard cut their teeth as sidemen on the Ornette Coleman staple Free Jazz and it shows. While this album is more structured, the vibraphone took the place of a piano and leaves more space to explore.
Out To Lunch is classic and my hope is everyone that gets that package finds this album.
Question....why did I pay for a $62 Mars Volta De-Loused record on black vinyl from Cloud Hill only for it to become the new Vinyl Me Please Essentials record for $40 on gold vinyl?

Killer deal, thanks for sharing. Only one I have is Wayne Shorter, so this should work out well for me.
I'll be pretty happy if I get one or two of Getz / Gilberto, Somethin' Else, Art Blakey, and some Mingus

That seems backwards.
yeah I think we got the short end of that.
but the extra 20 was me insuring I'd finally have one so I'm fine eating it.
gold would've been sick but the original press was on gold I think so no imagination

Cause they know die hards will pay for VMP regardless. And its probably going to happen for all of their releases. I only got Tremulant on the off chance something like this could happen. Theyre perfectly fine cashing in on one time only members it seems.
I finally made the switch from Android to iOS this week due to the amount of Apple stuff we have in the house. While I’m glad I did, I’m starting to understand why people don’t like the Discogs app. It doesn’t feel very user friendly in the least.

I get Apple Music for free, so I don't bother with it. How's the watch?

Watch is awesome. I’m working on my rings now.
This app is just a collection of your vinyl as well as a marketplace for buying/selling. Actually reverse that order. It’s more of a marketplace. I just got some stuff in and having difficulty leaving feedback for the merchant. I’ve kept my old Android though as I have 1TB of music and gonna leave that Discogs too. The UI is WAY easier.
