Not to sure yet how I even lucked out today but I "had to" book a last minute flight to visit a customer in TN... hehe I think I bought the roo ticket before expedia emailed me my flight confirmation!
Now the fun part... I'm used to camping in my truck! Now I get two 50 pound bags and whatever I can stock up on in my off time in the two days I have working on site. Anything I buy would likely have to stay behind too. Do I buy a cooler just to donate it at the end? Or buy beer from vendors? I think I'd drink and eat myself broke without a coller and BBQ!
Hell, my tent weighs in at 15 lbs. Maybe I'll sleep under the stars or make good friends fast!

when i flew in, last year, i brought my tent, an air mattress and charged-up electric pump, first aid and toiletry supplies, some clothes, extra shoes, rain gear, trail mix, clif bars, and other little snacks, and a bunch of powdered drink mixes for the well water, all in my checked bag... so i didn't have to leave anything behind. i would use the on-site water with a water bottle for drinking, and i'd eat snacks for breakfast/lunch/throughout the day, and buy dinner in centeroo each night. it worked out well.

I'm flying into Knoxville solo. No checked bags. Just a carry on.
But I am meeting up with a friend who is driving and bringing most of the supplies.
I'm doing pretty much the same thing. I'm flying in alone, but I'm gonna do a carry-on and one checked bag. One of my best friends lives in Murfreesboro and he's a damned avid camper. We used to go camping near the Everglades every now and again when he still lived down my way.
What's really ironic is that I won my tickets (and my flight) from the radio, and my friend just so happened to move to Murfreesboro about 2 months ago. Talk about good timing, huh?
I'm going to bring a big hiking pack as a carry-on (or check it?) and that should be it. I have a few friends driving up that are going to bring a cooler for me and my EZ-Up
