Has anyone considered using a zeer pot for bonnaroo? it seems like it might be a good solution, as it can keep stuff cold with no electricity and no ice.
And they are also cheap to make, the most expensive thing being the pots, which just need to be clay pots, one larger than the other, the only other element is sand and water, but it will keep meat for a few weeks and will keep water at 15celsius, has anyone tried this? I almost did in 06 but decided against it.
also, i suppose getting ice and a cooler is less work, but its a cool method if you dont want to be bothered with ice or electricity!

This is definately a neat idea. I doubt it would be good for Bonnaroo though because of the humitidy. If you read down further you'd notice:
Evaporative cooling works most effectively in dry heat and this pot-in-pot refrigerator is no different. In high humidity, you will find that this solution does not work.[8]
Also I imagine this thing would get quite heavy the bigger you get.
