this is one of the tough conflicts for me for the weekend. originally i was trying to figure out a way to see wilco, then the decemberists, then the mars volta... but that's a lot of running around, and i want to enjoy some music. unfortunately, even though i enjoy them, i have to rule out the bluegrass artists, just because of what the other bands going on are! i've seen the mars volta before so i'll take them out of the running... and based on timing, wanting to see of montreal, i think i'm going to go of montreal --> elvis costello for about an hour, and the decemberists through the end of their set.

If I hadn't just seen the Decemberists, this would be a clusterfuckof a decision, but seeing as I just did. The Mars Volta is where I will be. Plus I haven't seen them for a while now, I need my fix.
Wilco (hopefully in the pit). This was the worst of the conflicts for me...with the exception of TMV and The Decemberists, I wanted to see everyone else in and around this time slot.
how many people seeing the decemberists are worried about the sound from tmv carrying over? i would be if i were you.
Agreed. I'm pretty much counting on awesome loudness from TMV. I plan to just stay over at What after Wilco to maintain a good spot for Bruce, so I want TMV to just go ahead and totally drown everything else out so I can pretend I'm over there.
I wish Wilco and TMV weren't conflicting... it's going to divide our group a bit, plus, I'd love to see them, they're fantastic musicians that put out an incredible body of work.
One of my buds, who's a HUGE Wilco fan, went to the show in 07 and said it wasn't that great, though? Is that usually the case, was their 07 Roo set not that great, or was it just my friend who didn't like it?

I didn't see the entire show, but the bit I saw was pretty awesome. I haven't heard any negative reviews by people who were there for the whole time from my friends
