First time Roo-er here. A buddy and I are making the trek from NJ to Roo this year. I've taken a look at the map that's pinned on this forum and I think it would come in handy since we're completely clueless about the layout of Roo. I want to bring a map with me for that reason. Now obviously the map is wayyy too detailed to fit on your normal 8 1/2" x 11" piece of copy paper. So I came up with the "great" idea of having a poster-making website to make a 23" x 28" poster but it's going to cost me like $30 to have it made and shipped out in time. My question is would this be worth it or do they already have maps of the site at Roo that they give away or have for sale? Any help or input is certainly appreciated.
They give you a map when you go in - if you are lucky enough to get a book before they run out - I have always gotten a book but I know others have not
They'll give you a map and a schedule when you go through the gates. You'll learn the layout pretty quickly, too. Just pay attention to landmarks after you arrive.
That being said, I like maps. It would be cool to have a poster size map at your campsite, but not necessary.
That's great. We are hoping to arrive very early in the morning (7-8 AM), so hopefully they will still have some left. Another $30 in my pocket for D & A.
If you don't get a guide at the gate, hit up your "pod" (it should have a giant balloon over it) and see if they have any spares. If not, hit up the lost and found area in Centeroo early on Thursday, they often start out the weekend with spares.
(FYI, the guide has carried a full schedule and descriptions of artists in the past -- very helpful.)
