Bring some extra cash and pay to take a shower. $7.00. The stalls are separate and semi-private, and the water is hot.

I take one shower per Roo, and that's when I just can stand it any more. I like being clean. So the way I stay clean while I'm at Roo is this: I bring a plastic tub, like a 3 gallon Tupperware container, a pack of 12 washcloths and a bar of soap. I fill the tub with water and use the soap and washcloths to wash myself off with.
It's really not that hard to stay clean at Roo if you just devote a little time to it.
I take a plastic 5 gallon jug with a spout (a colapsable version at WalMart sells for $8.48). I bring it prefilled with water and keep it in the vehicle during the day....it warms up nicely in there. At night, me and camp buds will open doors to vehicle, strip down to boxers or biathing suits and do a little cat bath by pouring some of the warm water in a large plastic bowl. I wash hair and all the body parts. Feels great after a long day of music. You can do the private parts in the tent if you are that concerned about privacy. It has worked GREAT for me the past 6 years!
Tell your sis to chill. She shouldn't sweat the small stuff like bathing. It's a camping music and arts festival in the mddle of a TN farm. Relax and enjoy! Good luck to you both! Peace!
I mean really this is a nice small investment isn't too expensive ; way easier then a $5-10 shower everyday. And with the roo forecast of 100+ heat index i think this will be nice . Plus it does double over as a changing tent .
Baby wipes... they are all you need. Why spend the money on showers or take the time to make some sort of privacy shelter when all ya gotta do is take a few wipes and rub yourself clean?

i usually stick to baby wipes and troughs... but this year at roo... i'm thinking of taking a nice shower on saturday during the day before i head into centeroo around 2:30-3:00.
Every year I take a black bag with a garden hose attachment on it. I believe it cost like $5. It holds I believe 5 gallons of water and you can just put it on top of your car during the day. The sun hits the black and heats the water up so you will have a warm shower. With two people taking quick showers every day it will last close to the 4 days at Roo (just make sure you turn off the stream as you are lathering up). Even in VIP with the free showers I prefer this since the water is the same temp all the time and you don't have to wait in line. Add this to some Peppermint liquid soap and you will be feeling great for a while.
the thing I worry about shower tents is the water running into someones campsite/tent. Anyone had problems with this?
Definitely watch where your water drains. In '03 our neighbors kept emptying their coolers uphill from us and we lived in a mudpit all weekend. We used cardboard as flooring so we could keep the muck to a minimum. No matter how nicely or angrily we asked, they kept it up. Frat boys. (shakes his head exasperatedly)

I'm probably going to smuggle in a folding shovel just in case I need to deal with something like this.

I have been to Roo the last 5 years. But last year was the first year that they got on to me for certain items I had for constructing my campsite. They took my hammer and my small shovel. They said they were dangerous items and I understand that yes, they can be used in a dangerous way but I just wanted to make sure my set up was in good shape for the weekend. Idk. . . I'm going to bring another hammer this year and see what happens.
I had a hammer taken away last year. This year I will be travelling with a tool box, cuz with any road trip you never know when you might need a wrench or two... If they tell me anything is dangerous they can just shove it!
Put your hammer in with your spare tire. Mine just has a piece of wood that covers the floor of the trunk and you could stash those things there, not too hard to get at either once you take a few things out of the trunk you need anyway.
