If they did not buy a companion vehicle pass - then yes - you will have to park where they direct you and haul your gear
Companion Pass At the time you purchase an RV Parking Pass you will be given the option of purchasing a Companion Vehicle Pass for an additional $25 (including all fees). The Companion Vehicle pass will allow an accompanying vehicle into a designated camping area next to the RV camping areas. Companion Vehicles will not be allowed to park directly next to an RV. The Companion Vehicle must arrive together with the RV so it can be parked in the appropriate corresponding area. Make sure you stay together as you approach the site. Companion Vehicles will not be allowed to park in the RV area fire lanes. Any vehicles or obstructions will be removed at the owner’s expense.

Thanks... I think we are going to load the gear in the RV, park in main camping area... Then just hoof it. I hope that plan works. They already have a companion vehicle, so mine would be extra. It will give my neighbors a really nice camping area, with me not there.

your neighbors will be happy then - if I were you - I would introduce myself as soon as I was parked - explain to them that they can have your space and ask if they will kinda keep an eye on the car.
I hoofed it to a buddies RV in '06 and the tripped sucked. It was nice when we got everything moved. You may be able to find companion pass (w/o the RV pass) on ebay. I"ve seen a couple in the last couple weeks pop up.
edit: A quick searched and there are 2 up now. $35 each buy it now. Probably worth it, just in case you get parked in BFE.

If you can put everything in the RV so you don't have much to carry then I'd think it wouldn't be too bad. Might have quite a walk from your car but if you're not carrying a ton of stuff it shouldn't be awful. And I definitely agree with Meg - your neighbors are going to love you! Introduce yourself and let them know you're not camping there so they can keep that in mind when they're setting up their stuff.
^^ If you buy that companion pass, would they let you park with your friends RV seeing as how they already have one vehicle with them? I thought you were allowed only one companion car per RV.
It appears this companion pass does not comes with the rights to park next to the seller so you need to have an RV pass already and just lack the companion pass.

Am I reading something wrong?
I believe it it 1 companion pass per rv pass. So yeah, it's for people who already have a RV pass and need a companion pass b/c they didn't order one at the time of sale.

He did the same thing last year thinking we would take 2 cars I still have 2008 it went to waste I realy would like this one to be used. I leave for rockisland moday.
