I am a Bonnaroo rookie this year, and I have spent a lot of time perusing these boards. Most of my questions have been answered thanks to all of you willing to share your experiences. A lot of invaluable advice.
I may have more questions before next week, but a few for now:
Dust masks a must? Dust really an issue in VIP area? Laptop or no? I read where there are computers available in VIP lounge ... so I am wavering on bringing my own. Looking at the site map, there's a lot of space in the VIP camping area. On arrival, are you directed to a site or once you pull your car in, it's wherever you want? Think that's it for now. Thanks, in advance, for your advice.
1. Dust wasn't an issue last year (in Centeroo or in VIP); 2. I brought my laptop last year and didn't use it at all...not sure about them being in the VIP lounge; 3. They sort of guide you in a general direction when you pull in to VIP, but I read elsewhere that people moved around after claiming their initial spot.
Second Sass's answers. I wouldn't worry about the dust mask for dust (maybe for allergies, though). It's been a nicely wet season so far. Mud will be more of a worry than dust.
In the dustbowl that was '07 the dust wasn't that bad in VIP, mainly because we don't have to wander down long roads to get to Centeroo. But masks are not a heavy piece of equipment.
