I have a "guest voucher" for Bonnaroo but no specific ticket for or information about camping.
Does anyone know about camping with a "guest voucher" ticket? I know it is not the same as VIP camping, but it is just regular camping with "guest access" to a viewing platform & lounge? Or is there another camping area for "guests"
Any info would be appreciated.... please and thanks!
They did have a guest camping area last year. 2 people I went with had guest passes and when they picked up their tickets they got directions on where to go but they ended up just camping with us in GA anyway. They did have access to the viewing platforms also.

I had a guest voucher last year. I stopped at the hotel (HI Express?) next to the KOA Kampground to exchange my voucher for a wristband and parking pass. I bought my guest pass on CL just 2 days before roo for $200. Great deal because of all the perks.

interesting, thanks for the feedback!
the info I got with my ticket does not include any information about camping or stopping at a hotel anywhere - which has me a bit confused as to what to expect.
It does say I will need both the concert ticket AND the guest voucher to enter the festival grounds... and that I am to exchange my guest voucher for a wristband at Centeroo.... but no more details than that. Which makes me wonder if there is yet another guest ticket for camping that I do not have? Or if it is just different than last year...?

You should get a guest wristband AND a guest parking pass. Guest Camping is AMAZING compared to the regular camping. Better showers, cool people, more shade, and the shortest walk ever to Centeroo.
Roonewbie. Sounds like you have some sort of "Guest Light" package. Doesn't sound like they are giving you guest camping, just the guest wristband to get into some of the "secret areas". Since you have to exchange it in Centeroo, you have to already be in the festival. To already be in the festival, you have to have already turned in your GA ticket and set up in GA camping. Guest camping has its own entrance into the farm, but you have to have a guest wristband on for them to let you in.
I asked the same question on the Bonnaroo fourm. here is my question and the answer I got. Hope it helps.
Q> We won tickets on the radio, and are considerd "Guests of Bonnaroo" What does that mean? We are in "special Guest Camping". Any clue?
A>The real answer.
If it's what I think it is, it's the guest passes that are given to AC employees, press and some winners of radio contests. I went last year with a buddy of mine from AC, and we were in what is known as "guest camping". It's pretty much like a regular ticket, but you get to stay directly behind either what or which stage (which ever one is the smaller). There are free showers back there and it's less than five minutes to any stage. It's also a much more laid-back crowd with less wookies and what not. Some of the vendors who stay back there, like the brewers, will have parties. It's a pretty sweet deal.
Also.... we were given directions to go to the HI express.
If you have guest parking pass but not a guest wristband/lanyard/whatever, can you still get access through the back there? I have a friend who is on the guest list but will be doing the regular camping and he offered the parking pass to me since we're staying off site (my Roo companion and I have press passes), but I wanted to make sure we could actually get into the grounds that way.

OP said he has to go to Centeroo to exchange his guest voucher. That leads me to believe he does not have the same type of guest voucher that you had last year.
Based on the info here, I started asking questions and it turns out I had mistakenly been given the "Guest Light" instructions (exchange voucher for wristband at Centeroo) when I should have received regular ol' "Guest" instructions (check in at HI).
I now have the proper instructions & directions & will see you there!

Sounds like no... my instructions say "You will need a General Admission ticket, guest voucher, and guest parking voucher to enter with these instructions"
I've camped in the guest area every year I've been now, 5 years running. It is the best place to camp in my opinion. Free showers, your practically in Centeroo, the bag checks are a joke and there is literally no car search whatsoever. The people are extremely laid back there, both the people camping there and the workers there.
People get guest passes through AC/Superfly, vendors, some artists, and other high ranking people in the businesses affiliated with Bonnaroo. Two years we actually camped next to some artists performing at Roo (Zenphonic in '05 - their RV got stuck in the mud and a tractor had to pull it out and Phil Pollard and his Band of Humans in '06) Both artists were extremely nice
It also gets you access to the viewing platforms and such. Other than that i think that's about it
