I was just wondering where in Manchester would be the best/cheapest spot for us to pick up our booze. we want both spirits and beer, will we have to go to different places?
In TN, you will. Wine and spirits must be sold at licensed liquor stores, but beer can be picked up pretty much anywhere. I would look up liquor stores in the nearest large city you will be passing through (e.g. Nashville or Chattanooga) and then pick up your beer at a service station along the way.
If you're coming thru Nashville, Exit 78A (M'boro/Franklin) is the best stop. There's Krogers and a liquor store right off the interstate in the same strip (on the left)

Couple of exits before Manchester coming from Chat has a Walmart (beer/water) and liquor store in close proximity. Prices are fine. If coming from Nashville, stop in Murfreesboro 1/2 hour before farm. Same Walmart/liquor store thing.
generally cases of beer run between $14-$20 depending on the brand...liquor is kinda expensive, i drink jack and its about $25 a fifth...i also drink wine, yellowtail is what i usually drink and it is $6 for the small bottle and $11 for a big bottle...i got a box of wine to take with me to the farm and it was $19 but it equals about 3.5 bottles

I'll be bringing my wine from GA. Franzia Chillable Red in a 5 liter box is about $14 at Mal-Wart and I'll bring some Sweetwater. I'll bring a little liquor too. Probably look for some beer brands I can't get in GA when I get to TN.

Don't buy beer in Tennessee if you can help it. We have a 6.0 limit to our beer. (In GA it's like 9.0)

That's true, but you can purchase higher alcohol beers at liquor stores (Dogfish Head, Delerium Tremens, Arrogant Bastard, etc.) I would look for larger liquor stores if you want a decent selection of "big" beers...

Good call on that. I generally just go over the state line for mine. But then again, I'm about 30 minutes from Georgia anyway. lol
Like I said in the other alcohol board: Beware of vodka in extreme heat. I passed out at Lollapalooza last year because of it. I don't know for sure, but it seems like it dehydrates you quicker than most liquor cause I was still drinking water too but it didn't help.
