anyone else heading to the distillery in lynchburg on the way home? anyone ever been before?
I've been a few times. If I have out of town visitors, I usually take them there. The tour is very interesting and it is free. Good luck understanding the good ol' boys who give the tour
You cannot drink there though - it is a dry county. You can however buy their products there The town of Lynchburg is very quaint also, although a little commercialized by all the "Jack" stuff.

Yep I did the rum last night. They are all labeled just in case anyone thinks they are iced tea.......
^ on visiting the distillery, I mean.... the plastic water bottle thing too, though. I did it at Lollapalooza last year with vodka. Vodka's not the best liquor to be drinking in extreme heat. I passed out at NIN.

There is no age limit at the distillery. I have took my daughter when she was an early teen. Any liquor in exretme heat is not good. If you are going to drink, please drink lots of water along with it. Helps a lot.
Is alcohol transfered into a plastic container allowed at Bonnaroo? I was going to transfer my vodka into a pop bottle but was afraid it would not be allowed in if found during search.
Alcohol transferred into plastic bottles is allowed at Bonnaroo however could possibly cause you a problem with open container laws.
If you do not have a trunk or other compartment that is separate and not easily accessible from the main cabin (most vans and SUV's) then what I would do is to keep the alcohol in its glass bottle and wait until you stop to gas up before you get in line and then transfer the alcohol to the plastic containers and dispose of the glass in proper trash receptacles.
Jack Daniels is a neat tour and they will allow any age to go. Believe it or not, when I was in cub scouts they took us there to tour. It's a BIG deal around here.

It is allowed in to the Bonnaroo grounds. When they search your car, they are looking for glass bottles, weapons, drugs, otherwise they don't really care. It is not allowed in to Centeroo.
