This should have been so easy. All I wanted was a VIP package with an rv upgrade. Sounds simple right? No! Not simple! Today I received an email from the bonnaroo ticket site telling me they have made a mistake on my rv upgrade. Mistakes happen, but three times on the same thing???? The first time a bought it I asked since I'm bringing a non motorized rv, do I need a companion pass for the tow vehicle? Their answer, yes you do. So, I refund my rv pass for an rv + companion pass. Done, NOPE! Then, I'm told that is a mistake and all I need is a rv upgrade. The tow vehicle and the rv are one rv together. Refund second rv pass and buy another without the companion pass. Done? Almost. Today I receive this email.
When you placed your order for an RV Pass to go with your original VIP package order, you were incorrectly advised to purchase a regular RV Pass. You need a VIP RV pass to be able to park your RV in the VIP area.
We will be canceling your invalid order for the RV pass and refunding you in full. We will need to place a new order for you for the VIP RV Pass. Please call us as soon as possible and no later than Wednesday May 23rd at 4:00 PM ET to provide us with your credit card information. How does something so simple turn into this? Like the title says, TOTALLY BEYOND WORDS! One good thing is that I received this email after their office was closed today. I would have felt really sorry for the operator that had to take my call. Tomorrow I will be in a better mood to deal with this. I guess what really gets me is that I questioned the operator about the last rv pass I bought because the receipt said rv upgrade and not VIP rv upgrade. He responded that it doesn't matter what it's called, your tickets determine where the rv is parked. Makes sense, but that's not the way it really is. I'm hoping that I'm the exception and not the rule on this. Well, wish me luck. I will try to fix this for the fourth time tomorrow.

I really appreciate good service, but rarely expect to receive it, anymore. The organizers need to put more effort into training their staff members; I've read lots of comments on this board about conflicting statements coming from different customer service reps.

That's true, but what if I were out of town and didn't get this email until after Wednesday? I'd be SOL. I'm glad someone noticed, but my concern is that I'm new to this event. I depend on those at the main office for accurate information. It seem as thou there is a communication problem going on there. Too much wrong info is getting out. If this was Bonnaroo 2002 that would be expected. It's Bonnaroo 2007, not acceptable! In business first impressions are everything. My first impression is somewhat damaged at this point. I'm hoping the festival itself will be able to fix that. ;D

either way your going VIP so they will make sure your squared away. but yeah...at the least they could have taken longer the first time and just looked it up for an official answer or something. but the did notice it at least and are trying to take care of it.
i'm going where the sun keeps shining, thru' the pouring rain, going where the weather suits my clothes. backing off of the north east wind, sailing on summer breeze, and skipping over the ocean like a stone.
...but no worries...I guarantee you that even if they've screwed it up again, once you get to the hotel to get your wristbands and VIP goodies they'll get things straightened out for you.
I'm not going to worry about it. I'm sure they have it worked out. If not, I kept all the emails sent between them and myself. I will be bringing them with. I'm way too excited to let anything bring me down. I'm taking two weeks off for this. One the week of Bonnaroo and the other so I can take my time returning to Minnesota. Going to explore some of the sights on the way back. It also gives me time to recover. ;D
