This will be my 4th Roo and here is the scenerio.... I am flying into Chattanooga, I am renting a SUV and my friend is meeting me at the airport w/ some other friends who have an RV and we are heading in together. This is the first year I am going w/ out an RV. We have a companion pass to camp w/ our friends w/ an RV, but we are starting to re-think that b/c of the distance we will be camping from Centeroo and whether we really want to try to sleep (and I use that term loosely) around all the generator noise and noxious fumes... it would be great to camp near those guys, but not sure i want to live in RV land w/o an RV
You'll be fine with car camping, but she's right. You should make your way to camp only. Have you seen the festival map? It is the way to go!
The only trick is that you need to rethink what you're bringing and make sure that you can leave what you don't need in your car. It is possible to move your stuff from BFE to camp only on foot and by taxi.
Def, do not try camping around a bunch of RVs. Maybe inside but outside!
