Coming from north hit up somewhere around Nashville.
yes every year we stop in nashville and fill up...once Im in line I want to be in for the long haul I dont want to have to get out and look for a gas station
you aren't going to burn off too much gas in line/getting to the line
coming from North: once you get through Nashville look for a place to stop coming from South: once you get into Tennessee, look for a place to stop
no reason to wait until you see the line to try and hit up the closest gas station. every station you stop at on I-40 or I-24 will know about Bonnaroo and ask you if you're going
*i like coconuts, you can break them open they smell like ladies lyin in the sun** *Hell I don't even know where I am** *for now I must sit here and ponder the yonder: The herbivores did well cause their food didn't never run** *We listen, if it feels good We shake** *You made a big impression for a girl of your size, Now I can't get by without you and your big brown eyes.**
I would avoid exit 127 on Thurs. Gas up at the Kimball exit (152 I think).
whats the deal with that exit??? do you think the line will be that long? Why not exit 134?? 152 seems to be a ways out there?
They may not let you back onto the Interstate if you get off on exit 127 -- they route some of the Roo traffic that way, and flgypsymama wants to get to Walmart. It may be no problem, but why chance it? And yes, the line is back that far sometimes. We got in line exactly one mile after that exit last year.
I don't know what's off of exit 134 (or 127), but I do know there are several gas stations off exit 152. Exit 152 is only 40 miles from Manchester; it's not that far and you won't miss the gas even if you get stuck in line immediately nearing Manchester.
Exit 134 is Sewanee/Monteagle and has lots of gas stations, fast food, etc. It's your last real exit before you get to the fest if you're coming from Chattanooga. I think there is a gas station off exit 127, but not much else.

Thanks Roo...things like this I need to know because I have to meet the rest of our group at an exit somewhere south of bonnaroo and that would really really really suk if they wouldn't let us back on the freeway...I'm sure we would be able to take the back roads...don't know how long that would take tho...
anyways...thanks again...I will plan to drive further...I'm not really worried about the gas...just have to leave sooner from Nashville so I get to the special spot in time!!
