Yeah, I'm still at work, too. I'm here until 5 PM and I'll run home and take a shower and get the rest of my stuff organized before the rest of my party shows up and then we will roll out. Estimated arrival time is between 3 AM and 4:30 AM Friday morning. Woot.
Same here- departing DC at 330pm today. I'm thinking of staying overnight in Dandridge and waking up at 5am to setup in the light... or just going straight through to avoid any wait.

It's all a crap shoot, regardless of when you come. However, people who come in later Thursday afternoon or evening do seem to have a better chance of getting decent spots, from what I've seen. A lot of BFE is filled up in the morning. It's still mostly random, though. You could be first in line and get a terrible spot, you could show up Friday night and get a great spot.

I am at work, but it is not bad. We have a restaurant, so I am loading up on ice and lots of food! I always bring to much food! Monday I usually get up and cook all the left overs to feed to party worn wooks! Then we can all travel home with full bellies!
So, I'm leaving for Roo in three hours and my boss just came by my desk and gave me my evaluation letter that told me that my yearly salary is increasing by 3400 bucks starting in July. Best. Day. Ever.
