That guy was looking for a fight. My friend almost got him, but he also didn't want to fight a naked dude. He was trying to get women to undress as well, sometimes trying to help, so really, he needed an ass kicking. To the OP, that is ridiculous! I didn't see anything like this, had no problems the two times I entered at two different toll booths, and got beer into Centeroo often.
We were sitting in line for the Beastie Boys pit when the naked dude came up and tried rubbin his junk on a girl sitting a few spots behind us. I was able to watch the whole thing, the dude deserved what he got. They ended up wheeling him out strapped to a body board with a surgical mask on because he was hitting, kicking and spitting at the security and med staff. I do have pics of when security made him stand facing the wall and also right before they beat his @ss.
I must see these photos! Oh, and when I said he tried to help people get undressed, I just meant he was trying to undress 'em.
Driving in we saw what looked like taskforce vehicles randomly picking profiled car types for searches, but no apparent arrests.
Our car got lightly searched, but the guys were generally respectful and were mostly just looking for large quantities of drugs (they didn't touch our bottled beer or bottle of tequila).
Some of the security at Centeroo was more asshole-ish than usual, but most of them were just weeding out dealers from users. I will say that they seemed to be particularly stiff near the What Stage entrance before Phish sets. We mostly entered at the other entrance where the security is generally much more relaxed.

Coming in, he asked us to pop the trunk and my small cooler with the extra water was at the top and he was like "guys, we got a problem, first cooler I opened is full of water" then tried to hit on me and asked what i was doing with those two (2 guy friends) and let us go.. thats the most I've ever had a car searched coming in. This was also the first year I've been at the arch entrance instead of the ferris wheel entrance and every time people were just rushing the gates, no checking whatsoever. Except Sunday, I walked straight in with the crowd rushing through, turned around, and my 2 guy friends were getting their bags searched thoroughly... everything we werent supposed to have was on me so that made me giggle a little. There were also WAY more people coming around the campsite selling no no's than i've seen before.
Security was much easier going this year than it was last year. The only issue we had was the first day, when a security person made us dump water out of a water botte before they would let us in. Otherwise, it was much better
I saw two cases of beers being confiscated inside. The people were drinking out of cans that obviously weren't for sale at the beer stands. If they had been a little more discreet, no problem.
Funny thing is that there was one beer can I had never seen. It was called "Beer Thirty", and said "Premium Beer" on it. The security guy was laughing and showing everyone.

Hey Mods! Can I post these pics? One is just the guys back side and the other is full frontal. I don't want to go thru the trouble of getting them up here with dial up (I live in BFE) just to have them removed. Thanks!
In Centeroo, got approached by security ladies when they saw us partaking in a pipe. Took pipe, searched bags, took a teeny bit of corn, our bubblecorn, and 6 brightly colored advil that were reserved for the Girl Talk set. That was superlame, but not as lame the rest of the crap we put up with getting there and going home.
security was easy getting in. we were searched thoroughly at centeroo a couple times (opened the boy's glasses case, pawed through my money, etc) but it was mostly just a cursory search. i did get my glow necklaces taken away from me, not sure why since i thought it was just the big glowsticks they were taking, but they were $1 so i didn't care much. saw a couple people get busted for trying to sneak in beer and stuff, but i also saw a lot of people just get waved on through.
during friday late night, i saw some security guy around the tents busting people who were smoking. this one guy kept shining a flashlight at people and taking their baggies. no huge hassle, just took their stuff and walked away. we figure he was bringing some smoke back to the staff.

I guess I must have been the only one who got "moved" all the way to exit 127. It took me literally 10 hours to move 9 miles in traffic. I live 2.75 hours away. It took me from 8 a.m until 945 p.m. to get in and get set up. Worst thing ever at Bonnaroo for me.

I waited in line for 8.5 hours, or 10 miles off the highway 41 backroads bullshit, had a police vehicle search at the gate, and then got thrown on the back edge of bfe in the griswold camp and had to setup camp at night. They also exited us back to 127 which is 40 minutes extra on our drive. I will never take highway 41 again. Bonnaroo still kicked ass.
Damn, sorry to hear that about exit 127, it's usually faster than 111, just you wind up in BFE. We took our own route up from exit 134 out to the southwest through Sewanee (which was very scenic, if you've never been through there) then coming back into Manchester through Tullahoma. It added 30-40 minutes to our drive, but the line to get in was less than 2 hours.
I must be in the minority here, but I thought security getting into Centeroo was much tougher this year and there were more mounted patrols on shakedown. Getting in with the car was no hassle at all, but getting through the arch seemed to take forever and most times they searched me really well compared to years past.
The confiscations were just odd and random. I saw a middle aged soccer mom looking woman get her bag taken away, but that one guy stuck in the tree at Animal Collective stayed up there the whole time hitting a bong.

I agree....this was my 3rd Roo and I felt like the things were tougher this year. Random but tougher.

zero problems...slight under the front seat search popped the trunk....they just kindof moved things around to the side i assume..didnt watch, didnt have anything..but nothing got taken out.... on the way in for buffet i took everything out and put it in my hat...the guy started looking at them..sees my digital camcorder "is this a camcorder" "it takes pictures" "keep it on picture mode." no problems
At the cage the elephant people started body surfing, and one by one drifted right into the security guarding the front of the stage. I think they just sent them out around the crowd to the back, but it was funny. They were doomed, betrayed by their own people, and sent to the dogs
just a side note, the energy from cage was amazing, and unexpected. I had no idea it would be so intense. And the singer looks sort of like Phillip Seymour Hoffman.

They did that to us even though we were access camping when we got in they told us we could come in that way because we were access and they dont want access in the back entrances. They way they sent us was on NEW Bushy Branch Road. I refused to move and go in a little word exchange with roo secrutity then they called Manchester Police and Manchester Police was very helpful and escorted us in Bushy Branch road so we didn't have to go all the way back to the line.

Security tried to tell me at the arch on Thursday that my hoop wasn't allowed in, but I just said eff that and went to the ferris wheel entrance. No problems there, they even let me in with the 20+ glowsticks I had to put in my hoop. I stuck to that entrance most of the weekend - I find it is better anyway.

I got a little corn confiscated, but dude let me keep and pack my glass before taking the rest. I told him to enjoy what I paid for. I'm sure they all really enjoyed what WE paid for. Jeez, you would think they would be pleased getting to go to Roo for free, without having to jack other peoples stuff. Even though dude was being pretty nice, it would have been nicer if he just left me alone....screw him, he never even saw the stuff I palmed

Security was decent for us too, came in from exit 111, were in in about 20 mins, setup in camp Sloan Peterson.
They searched our car but the security guy was like "Do you know what I'm looking for? Do you have any of it? No? Okay, tag him and get him through."
I got my corn at the festival and had no issues getting through to Centeroo, both times we brought corn in the gate security at the arch didn't even search us, just let us in. Great weekend, great festival, can't wait for the next roo.
i had no problems with security or Police this year at bonnaroo. actually, half the times i got in line for centeroo, the security people just let whordes of people in without even patting down or checking bags. for future reference, just get a bunch of people in line to start cheering and yelling, "let us through! fight for your right to party!" and stuff like that. every time i was in line and people started doing that, working the crowd up, security just waved everyone through.
Naked guy sucked! He threw trash cans over, spit on me, walked up behind someone sitting in a chair and smacked him in the back of the head, hard. During Al Green, no less!
As for getting in, we waited over 3 hours, got sent to the wrong section for access and had to turn around. The people in line in front of us got searched THOROUGHLY on the way in. They got a whole bunch of tickets, but no arrests. They got over it well enough and had a good time, though. We had almost no search.
I thought the security lines weren't too tough, but they searched jackass people. The one guy behind me who pushed us out of the way got a thorough search (and a really big bottle of liquor confiscated) but we and everyone else breezed through.
There were a couple other sucky incidents, though. There was a fight near my camp and someone got hit on the head with a flashlight, someone came in my camp and toppled my tables and chairs, and a few people got all their stuff stolen.
I had a good time, but I will say this. VIP (which I did last year) is soooooooo much better than GA.
As we were entering Centeroo at the VIP entrance right by the arch before NIN, security was super rough with us. People were really being hassled by these two staffers. Well, this one guy says "eff that" and takes off to go out through the VIP "in" line. I really don't think anything about it. I finally make it up to the staffers and the guy yells at me as he shines a light in my eyes, "Do you have any more drugs?" I say, "no, I don't have anything." Then he proceeds to search me like crazy.
I see Russ look horrified and I turn around. There is the guy that ran in through the gate on the ground as one of the staffers proceeds to beat the shit out of him. He was lying on the ground and the staffer was standing over him just wailing on his head. The guy who was seaching me stops and goes and joins in the mayhem. The poor guy was hit at least 10-15 times in the head. People looked they were going to riot and started shouting "Rodney King!"
I had a icky vibe after that and wanted to go back to the tent, but thank God Russ made me go to the entire NIN show.

Had a quick search at the east-gate, and light searches all weekend getting into centeroo. I saw some people getting searched heavy going into Centeroo, until there supervisor told them to move it along since the crowd was getting restless. The crowd started raging right before NIN, and they opened up the flood gates. Didn't see and tackling/brutality.
