i didnt have any problems this year but was just wondering if anybody else got in to any trouble and what it was for? were there undercover selling and buying or just buying? i was very carefree about bringing stuff around with me, hope that was ok but now im kinda thinkin it wasnt safe
Seemed way more relaxed to me too. But I was further away from centeroo this year and it seems the further away you get, the more lax the security is, in general.

Our car got searched by TN troopers as soon as we crossed into the state. Me and Rockinhood. We had nothing in the car. We just hung out and joked with the cops until they figured out that we really didn't have anything. So since we were decoys for everyone else I guess you're welcome.
me and my boyfriend went for our first time this year and got sent into the police searching line. someone told us to hide our stuff right before we got into the gates and got away with having it on us. the cops searched everything in the car including finding a jar that held our stuff in it only 20 minutes before. we were so lucky, and the cop kept asking why so nervous... haha

I had a little problem. I had bought some veggies, and the whole time they were just passing us through and not giving a damn, but I think it was Saturday that I went through the gates of centeroo and got my stuff jacked. They went into my wallet, and I didn't expect that. I had been using my bra as my vice, but didn't have one on that day. I knew I was screwed as soon as I saw my boyfriend's wallet get searched. Oh well, got more that night and didn't get into trouble.
Seemed way more relaxed to me too. But I was further away from centeroo this year and it seems the further away you get, the more lax the security is, in general.
I felt like this was the situation as well. A little more lax coming into the festival grounds, but on Friday and Saturday they picked up the security going into Centeroo. I saw them searching everything, even an unopened pack of glowsticks. They opened it to see if anything was in it.
I was set up a 30 second walk from both the entrances, so I was going in and out of centeroo mulitple times a day. I only got patted down once the whole time, and even then the guard only slid his hands down my hips and backside, and let me through. I always had my purse open with all the zippers undone before I got to the gate, and they never did more than glance inside. It was my first Bonnaroo, and I can honestly say I was taken aback by how lax security was. On the way in they opened the trunk, opened my coolers, asked if there was any glass, and then let me through, couldn't have taken longer than a minute.
There was often this drum/smoke circle set up near my tent right on the main road, and the mounted officers would always just walk right by them, never saying anything about the corn use. I enjoyed my corn right under my canopy which was also open directly to the main road, and they rode by many times, never said a word. I come from an equestrian backround, so many times I'd stop and talk to them about their mounts, and found them all to be very friendly and laid back.
I hope all my coming roo's will be the same, honestly.
