Wednesday @ Knoxville
But seriously, I think I gotta go with Sunday. That first set had just about everything going for it to build up to quite the rager of a show. It's a shame a few Bruce songs slowed things down and the momentum couldn't be carried into the 2nd set quite as well. It was still a phenomenal show though either way. They both were.
but out of Roo I'd say Sunday, Friday was spectacular but Sunday had more of a groove... and i echo the sentiment about it being more special. The crowd had gelled more throughout the weekend... i also think that a crowd bonds during a setbreak which makes everything friendlier.
I go with sunday as well, fridays show had parts that seemed really rushed to me and it didnt seem as though the band connected with the crowd like they did on sunday.

I left Friday halfway through for CC/GT, so I'm going with Sunday. Although I was really digging the song choices on Friday... but Sunday did have Bruce.
At least they didn't clearly suck one night and rock another. I'm glad to see the consensus is that the shows were about equal.

IMO any differences b/t the shows were miniscule. I did prefer having a setbreak, the Bruce sit in was historic for Bonnaroo and Phish, but I went with a slight edge over Fri simply b/c I just liked the setlist a bit more (You Enjoy My Wilson).
All I know is that August seems like a looong way away. Now I just need to figure out how to upgrade a few of these lawns I have to Pavs. 4 shows, 4 lawns I'd like to upgrade at least 2.
Anyone who has been on tour watching Friday night was boring until highway to hell, the whole set was rocking after that point. In Friday nights jams I felt they were play for people new to phish , Also i think the band was getting used to the sound and Keroda was getting used to working the lights. It all came together late in the set. Sunday nights shows all things were clicking and the set list was rocking from the beginning. ACDC bag opener make sunday the solid thumbs up, there jams hit psychedelic points that the band is beginning to rediscover. . Oh yeah that Cameo thing was cool too. my vote is Sunday!

Friday was better for me than sunday for the pure fact that I never have had the oppurtunity to see them play and they happened to pull out a few personal long time favorites ( possum, alaska, stash, harry)

Friday with 2001>YEM>Wilson>YEM was the mothafucking HEAT. No doubt. BUT, Spunday was without a doubt amazing. That first set was one of the single greatest things I've EVER witnessed in my life, not a single dull moment. The second sets "46 days" was filthy, and Caspian>Tube>Suzy>Reprise....yeah, hot damn. I called the reprise to Sammy, just seconds before it started. So amazing.

^^Yeah, which debuted at Rothbury. Like I said, I didn't really mean to be a prick about it. I just thought it was funny that one of the newer songs was included in long time favorites. Just worthy of a chuckle, is all!

I have to agree with you, man... just looks weird, if nothing else.
