The guys from Blues Traveler had an exclusive interview with The Fukerton, where they talk about putting Horde Festival back together using the Bonnaroo location.

I liked HORDE but I'd rather it were a touring festival again. I'm all for destination festivals but I think we're starting to get saturated -- it's time to bring back the touring fest!!!!
It'd be great to have Horde local, but they talk about in the video that its too much trouble to bring it on the road, and that Bonnaroo has facilities already set up. Its pretty interesting to hear their thoughts on it though...
Plus, its been proven that those traveling festivals aren't nearly as successful.

Went to HORDE at Deer Creek in 1997. Excellent experience, but I was too young to really know what to do (17). I would LOVE if it came back around at the farm, especially since it's only a 6 hour drive for me.
Why travel to Manchester for HORDE when you've already gone there for Bonnaroo? If I'm only doing one 16 hour away festival (and I am) I'm not sure what HORDE can offer that Bonnaroo doesn't. If it's local, I'm there in a heartbeat.

Agreed. There are tons of non-touring fests out there, the only real way to draw anyone in to a new one would be to have it in a location where there aren't any others around. And there are so many these days that I don't even know if such a location exists!
I'd love to see HORDE revived as a touring fest but if it's somehow not financially feasible to do that then I don't really see the point.
