Trying to get a sense of what was the best headliner. I personally think it's Pearl Jam and I was not a fan of them before Bonnaroo 2008. I thought Phish and The Boss both played great, but did not add a special vibe that Pearl Jam did. Weird. Wanted to add Neil Young but no room, felt like there were more Tool fans instead.

Well if I had seen Radiohead, I would've voted that. However I've only been in 08 and 09, so I'm going to have to go Pearl Jam. I really loved the boss' set and thought it was spectacular, but there was something special about Pearl Jam that made it seem more like an event that was lacking this year.
don't you find it a bit strange to only put a selective few headliners up there. I know there is the other option but people will tend to vote for one that they see and not always think of those who are not listed. I vote for Metallica followed by Pearl Jam. I have only been the last 2 years so I missed out on seeing Radiohead (my favorite live band) there and tool.

I picked Pearl Jam mainly because I wasn't there in 06 either. But that last comment kinda does a disservice to how special the Pearl Jam show was. The Pearl Jam show was one that had that something special indescribable feeling of how special it truly was, and I didn't feel that about a headliner this year unless Byrne counts. And if he does still Pearl Jam, but seeing Byrne for the first time was something special for me too.
