Trying to find out some information about this festival... I really want to go this year for 1 day since Tool is headlining and their Bonnaroo performace was such a spiritual life changing experience for me ... I must see them again... and again
Anyway, just wandering if anyone knows:
1.)How long do the Headliners typically play? Dont want to pay $100 to see 1 1/2 hours of Tool...
2.) Whats the vibe like there?
3.) Anyone see much of my buddy Sid there last year?

I didn't go last year, but -
1) For what it's worth, I heard Radiohead played like two-ish hours both nights last year, or maybe even slightly over. Not sure about Jack Johnson though.
2) Not to discourage you, but I'm told the vibe there is pretty awful. It's certainly no Roo; probably closer to Virgin Fest in that regard. But this is just judging from what I've heard from friends and read on this board.
3) Doubt it, though I could be wrong. It doesn't seem to be anywhere near as tolerant of that kind of stuff as Bonnaroo, AllGood, Rothbury and your other, more hippie-friendly camping festivals.
I hope this helps. Maybe someone who went can give more insight?
I went just to Saturday of the festival last year, which in and of itself diminishes my understanding of the festival as a whole. However...
1. Radiohead played what seemed like a normal set for their tour last year, around 2 hours, 15 minutes. I understand that was pretty standard really.
2. The vibe isn't good or bad, really. I thought it was like any other outdoor festival/concert experience. The sound was a little off because of the breeze off the water, and you could only drink a maxed out number of beers in particular areas (park regulations, I guess). Other than that, I wouldn't say it was any better or worse than any other festival/concert experience I have been to.
3. Negative. A little corn here and there and drinking, obviously. Sorry to burst the bubble.

I went (sort of) on my boat last year...you can see/hear the main stage perfectly from the water...so I don't know what the vibe is if you actually pay to go.
Radiohead played for about two hours.
Sid? If you want to expand your mind, read a book...stop hurting yourself.
