Run-off Rule:
For the purposes of keeping things moving, if the result of voting is a run-off:
- any vote that was cast for one of the people in th fun-off will remain. for example if the voting is 4 for player X, 4 for player Y, 3 for somebody else, the run-off will be between player X and player Y. each will start with 4 votes. the other 3 will then chose X or Y. any player may change their vote until voting is closed.
NULL RULE
if all votes have been cast, players may change their vote until voting is officially closed. however, there will be no nulling of votes once all players have voted in that round.
So the run-off assumes we will vote the same way twice, unless we say otherwise?
Roo, I'm fine with this particular rule. I think that's within a Referee's fair discretion. However, I am compelled to ask... are these the only new rules you plan on applying this game? I would've ideally preferred to have learned them at the beginning of the game. If there's anything else you plan to implement, could you please let us know now?

i only can get on after work, and i usually eat corn after work, so i forget stuff sometimes. i tried to get them in before the situation actually presented itself. dont plan on adding anything else.

ok...then i guess i'm confused as to the rule. we can change our vote during the runoff or we can't? are you saying it just starts out at equal votes by the same people? or that it must stay that way?
My understanding (which may be wrong) is that you can change your vote but if you voted for someone who is in the runoff your vote starts on them. Im assuming this is to prevent waiting for people to come back and vote and speed up the game. Correct me if Im wrong.
P.S. I've gotta add I love the potential of a four-way runoff

haha...it's cool. basically i just wanted to make sure we weren't locked into a vote going into the runoff. that was my only concern. otherwise, the rule is just fine IMO.

I'm glad I took the time to read through all the posts after Roo's new rule before I started ranting on how unfair it was!
That makes sense though and will save time. As long as I can change it is fine with me....it isn't really a rule as much as it is just Roo's personal preference on keeping the tally. But maybe you can just write "pending" next to those votes so we can keep track of whether it was an original vote or final run-off vote. Does that make sense? That way we won't have to keep referring back to other pages.
Jenkazoo >>> Trillbill Bek >>> Bacon kdogg >>> Trillbill bill >>> bacon awatd >>> higgi Kel >>> Higgi
left to vote: higgi, hgh, eap awatd bacon the lovely miss hippie
RULE CLARIFICATION: Those w. carry-over votes may change their vote, but if the final 5 votes are cast, I will close voting, at which point all votes are final (so change now or forever hold your peace).
So here is my breakdown on why I am voting the way I voted. I am not mafia (obviously) so I am not voting for myself (again obviously). Higgi always votes Kel nothing unusual there. Trill is new and hard to predict his actions.
