I'm going on record saying I generally enjoy games more that don't have an inspector revealing their identity. It's a hell of a lot more fun to try and figure out who it is by voting patterns and subtle hints. Without a doubt, whenever someone claims they're the inspector somebody else counter claims and everybody believes the latter. How this happens, I can't even begin to understand.
I almost hope I'm mafia this game. I've never been mafia for an entire game... Only a scandalized few rounds of one
Sorry, but no... I will not be playing. My August is too jam-packed.
I'm out of this apartment on the 15th. Aside from working & packing/moving stuff between now and then, I've got a Breeders show on the 12th and a birthday to celebrate on the 14th. On the 15th, my girlfriend & I leave for a road trip. Heading to Maryland, staying there a week, and paying some visits to people on my return route. Not sure exactly when I'll be back, other than no later than the 27th... I'm going to Chicago the last weekend of the month for two (final?) NIN shows.
So if you please, Kel, remove my name from that list.

where are you going in MD? I'm going the 12-16 for my Dad's 50th birthday. Really excited to see my family and eat crabs. Added bonus, Phish.
As far as the game... I smelled a Mafia victory from Day One and reached out to them.
Handgun confused the hell out of me when she claimed to have Bacon's name while outing herself. I had to double-check with Jack, because he didn't tell me whose name she got at the start. When the Mafia whacked Hippie, I thought they were just taking a wrong guess... but I think it worked A-OK for them in the end.
Strum PMed me after a couple rounds with a guess with three names, and he missed Kelaroo... he thought Jenkazoo was in cahoots instead. We agreed that Bacon's "I'm the Inspector" ploy was a hilarious failure.
Speaking of failure... wtf, Townspeople? How the hell did you let NBF smooth-talk you all the way through? You went along with it every time. (I'm particularly looking at you, Bek...) I don't think y'all spent the proper time debating the HGH/Bacon identity issue. Why at no point did any of you Townspeople try to put on the brakes when it was apparent in the voting the Mafia was behind your decision? I was waiting for someone to speak up about that for the last two rounds of voting. Was it just that everyone who usually goes along with that wound up dead early on?

Havre de Grace, with a visit to Baltimore in there somewhere. My buddy who used to go to school here lives out there, and these days I usually only see him once a year - at Bonnaroo. We won't be arriving until the 16th. I'm on kind of a flexible schedule after that.
All I know is I'm spending a day or two near Detroit on the return trip before I definitely have to return on the 27th.

although, i think kel deserves some credit as well considering this is the second time she's won mafia with only two of them left from the very beginning
I basically grew up in and around Detroit my whole life, and aside from the slums and crackheads, it's a really good time.. Some of the best dive bars on the face of the planet... But they're ones that you definitely have to look for!

I was in the D in January, it's like a 3rd world country there. Ive never imagined the amount of abandoned houses and buildings due to moving or most of all, arson. I suppose losing 100,000 city residents can do that to a city though... hopefully it doesn't worsen.

I mostly stayed in Plymouth which is really nice but we ventured into D a few times around the St Andrews (bar or club or whatever) area. Also went to a Metallica show at Joe Louis. I agree with the dive bars though, we made it to a few and although we were basically outsiders people were friendly and we had a good time doing shots with em.
