So I will be going to my first bonnaroo this coming year 2010 with an RV. I have been to a couple other music/arts festivals. And at these places people camping in RV's were terrbily anti social I am hoping at Roo that the RV people are not just shut up inside and are out mingling Because I purposfully go out of my way to make inside and outside our RV a nice hang cause I love meeting new people..And I know to lots of other rooers having a friend with an RV has fringe benefits ...Can any experianced Rooers give me a feel for what RV atmosphere is like

I went to my first Roo this summer and we brought an RV. It...was...AWESOME!! The people in our immediate area were all mad chill and there was plenty of beer sharing and green sessions. The RV campground, at least in my experience, wasn't even remotely anti-social. It was really communal and fun, and let me tell you, being able to have your own bathroom and actual real beds is a very, very good deal.
6/18: Phish in Hartford 6/25: Phish in Camden 7/2-7/4: Nateva 7/17: God Street Wine at Irving Plaza 7/23-7/25: String Cheese at Red Rocks!! 8/17-8/18: Phish at Jones Beach 9/3: Rush at PNC
This Bonnaroo lineup is in dire need of some Rush.
Thanx for the input guys now I have to wonder what to bring I am a stage manager and have a tendecy at these festivals to turn my campsite into a a mini rave after all I have to test out the light toys to know if they will work in a show...any everyone is more then welcome to stop by I think for my first bonnaroo I am gonna theme the campsite after alice in wonderland it seems fitting for my first trip down the rabbit hole
We have attended three Bonnaroo's with our camper. Every year we take less and less stuff to put outside our camper. We really do not spend much time at camp. There is so much to see and to out on the grounds.
We've been to the last 2 roos. We camped in GA in 08 and got super lucky with a spot on the road right behind tent only! It was a great spot for our first roo but it was pretty hot and uncomfortable in a tent for us 40 year olds! This year, we borrowed the in-law's hunting camper and it was awesome! We visited with the neighbors alot & having a bed to sleep in was great. Our friends went GA again this year & I woulda freaked out during the storms if we had been out there! I kinda enjoyed the storms from the comfort of the camper So, yeah, RV is the way to go to roo! Our friends plan to take an RV next year too!
First roo and took an rv. Spent about 4-6 hours a day in it to sleep and shower. Met the immediate neigbors only(not by choiice), shared a beer or two. Thought we would spend more time there and brought way too much stuff especially booze. Id do it all over again though.
