Being at work with nothing to do but figure out who's a killer is even worse lamesauce. Especially when all the patrons at the library today are actually behaving themselves. I have no one to SHHH! at. One guy was looking at boobs and booty but it has to be full frontal pelvic nudity to kick them out.
Yep, I'm librarian. Nathen, that happens more often than you would think. The library is also a common place for ladies of the night to bring their "clients". There is constant action at the library. Lats month the big thing was someone kept crapping on one of the men's room floors every night within an hour of closing but no one could catch who was doing it.
runoffs in the first round can generally always ensure a win for the mafia

I was a tad uneasy about this as well as it was all going down. Not to mention how very defensive she got once you suggested she was mafia. If I remember correctly, and I can't remember which game this was, but last time I was watching a game unfold where Hippie was mafia she got equally defensive once someone accused her.
I got nothin else to go on with anyone at this point, so I'm more than likely gonna change as the round unfolds.
I don't really see how the "defensive" thing should be an indicator of Hippie as mafia (and please don't take this as an insult, Hippie) because she is usually pretty defensive about being accused regardless of her role. Of course, that is just an observation of about the last five games. She tends to do a pretty good job defending herself in non-mafia scenarios as well.
I'm still confused about the run-off comment. I'm curious, so I'm going into it.
Last five games' first-round run-off:
Mafia 22 Townsperson Rooconteur vs. Townsperson Jenkazoo Mafia victory
Mafia 21 Mafia Trillbill vs. Townsperson Bacon Townspeople victory
Mafia 20 Townsperson kdogg vs. Mafia Jenkazoo Mafia victory
Mafia 19 Inspector kdogg vs. Mafia Ian Mafia victory
Mafia 18 Mafia ChiefPemperton vs. Townsperson Lawngnome Townspeople victory
I understand why Hippie's trying to say that Mafia have better chances when there's a run-off. Mafia did win 3 of those 5 games, after all. I don't know how far back I'd have to search for a game without a Day One run-off, but it's in the teens at best...
I think it's more accurate to make note of the fact that nearly every game includes a Day One run-off, whether the Mafia is involved or not. With so many other factors involved, I just don't think that this correlation implies causation.

haha Note to Self: Never post a theory regarding Mafia without having solid, concrete evidence to back it up, for fear of a Kdogg evaluation is imminent
I asked her to explain that theory three pages ago... in lieu of an explanation from Hippie (I got something more like "you're not playing so STFU") I'm left with no choice but to try and figure it out myself...

this sounds like the library at providence college. crushed up lines of adderol too???
freshman year i did work study at the library. we were putting a new tracking system, and getting rid of the little envelopes glued to the back covers that held the little index card. my job was to rip the old envelopes out of books as they got checked back in and then put them back on the shelves. i used to go there stinking of corn like a jackass. like blatant. didn't care. anyways, alot of books didn't make it EXACTLY to where they were supposed to go. i was a poor library employee.

Her "STFU" comment is even funnier when used in this context...the second time around ;D ;D
I am not sure if this is what she means....but it seems like the odds would favor a mafia win in a round one run-off since three people already know who the innocents are; therefore there would be a better chance at getting at least one innocent out of the game. It seems like most people who vote later would follow suit with the first two or three votes as to keep the heat off themselves for voting someone else....but since I am no statistics expert, nor do I feel like going back and looking at several games to determine the accuracy of this theory, my opinion is purely subjective.
I suppose you could go back and see how many times innocents were pitted against each other in a round one run-off and then comapre that to how many times the mafia won in that instance....but I certainly don't wanna waste my time doing that (despite the fact that I just wasted my time thinking about the possibility of doing it and describing how it could be done).

nobody cares. she obviously didnt mean literally there was no chance of townspeople winning. i for one dont think it helps anything and is just a waste of time. she and everyone else have no obligation to talk to you. everyone ASKED you to play. multiple times. you declined bc youre too busy. just like last game. you have more posts than most of the players. some of us are busy and only have time to read the relevant conversation not sift through your bs. if you really want to ask hippie something, pm her, or im her, or email her. you're allowed. you're not playing. in case you forgot.

Take it easy on Mr. Dogg, he is doing us a favor by not playing... remember he is the GOAT of Mafia and also he did say that he will be in the process of moving so that means he would have to drop out of the game early if he didnt get killed off at the point of the move

I for one, would rather read one or two Kdogg posts which try and rationalize a theory posed regarding the game of Mafia than a conversation regarding someone's missing phone charger. If you're gonna bitch about someone taking up precious space in a mafia game, atleast bitch at everyone doing it, no?
All that being said, I personally don't care whatsoever what people discuss in the thread. I just have nothing better to add to the conversation at this time

I'm confused as always in the second round. No kdogg to make sense of things. This game stinks of mafia trickery. Strumn is confident of a win. People seemed to have it out against nathan. Hipster might have made an honest mistake yet there is already a group ready to have this round over with her death already. But then again she could be guilty as sin. Thus the confusion.

1) I am innocent. I'll bet the chicago phish ticket I drove 20hrs to come see that I'm innocent
2) How are you basing my guilt on TWO innocuous statements, which I have already explained. In my mind, in the first round there are 8 townies and 3 mafia. To me that says there's more of a chance that a townie will die because of the mafia's near omnipotence. Sorry if the math doesn't add up, but I was a history major for a reason.
3) You do realize the first person to take my comments completely out of context is the same guy who actually convinced the entire population of innocents that he was inspector after eap confessed already...TWICE!
4) I don't give two shits what kdogg says anymore. If y'all are going to take into account how I respond to a non-player, then you're not playing the game fairly and I'll just drop out myself. We have drama EVERY EFFING GAME because of one thing or another. I just want ONE game where everyone will just play fairly. Too much to ask?
5) If you have a problem with certain players in this game, be an adult and speak to them privately. These petty shots some of you are taking are just childish and reflect poorly on you.
I vote for HGH for the sole purpose of evening out the vote. I have no indication or inclination if she's guilty. It's just self-preservation.
I think I've done more tallies than she has this game.
I never asked you to help, Kdogg! I thought you were just doing it because you wanted to.. Please don't do it, then say you have posted more tallies then me. Sorry, I don't post one after every vote!
