I have a VIP ticket, but since my boyfriend and our two friends have regular tickets, I will be camping in a non-VIP area with them. Have any of you ever done this?
I'm also going to plan on camping in a camping only area, so I know I'll have to get there early enough to park and find a spot. It seems pretty random as to where I will actually be parked, but I was wondering how early people will be waiting at the gates that Thursday morning. What time do people start getting there?
Even if you decide not to camp in VIP, still get your VIP wristband so you can take advantage of the hospitality tents and viewing stands...they wouldn't probably wouldn't let you in the GA gates anyway with a VIP ticket, but you'll have no problem if you already have your wristband.

Oh yes, I definitely will. Will they have the wristbands for everyone at the gates when they come in, or do I need to walk to the VIP area to get mine?
I've just talked to my friend who has the other VIP ticket and the parking pass, and I am now going with him. That way I won't have too long of a walk from VIP camping to the camping only area with my stuff.
Do people try to line up at the gates before they open?

I now want it for the buffet and showers and stuff. I would have liked it more if my boyfriend had the other VIP ticket, but he didn't want to spend the money. So yeah, I guess it's a waste of money for some, but at the time I bought my ticket, I had the money to spend.
