Thanks a lot man, I signed up for tomorrow. Let's hope I get them. I wish I had seen this earlier today so I could've signed up for tonight's show. I love S&G.

Nice. One of the docs that I work for went as a guest with Mellencamp when he was inducted(they're neighbors) and he said it was an amazing experience just to be in the building.

Patti Smith was comically bad and Metallica did indeed steal the night.
U2 was so good with Bruce and the Black Eyed Peas and Mick. I've always hated U2, but after seeing them here and on this last tour, my opinion may have changed. And for all the people who wouldn't want U2 headlining Bonnaroo because they can't bring their stage, that performance proved that they don't need the stage to be amazing.

have to agree - welcome to the leagues of fans who begrudgingly admit U2 is amazing live...
btw, unless roo is the first week of june next year, U2 is booked. if its the second week, they are very far away...

Yeah, it sucks, but they really are awesome.
The same thing happened with me and Pearl Jam. I hated them for the longest time, but after seeing them at Bonnaroo they completely turned me around. I hate being wrong.

same experience, of all things - seeing pearl jam open for u2 in hawaii - they blew me away. i went from thinking "grunge rock whatever" to "great american rock band!" very quickly...
