My vote sent bacon into the runoff. Why would I do that if I was working with him? It would make more sense for me to change my vote to Sal or Jack so that there was no runoff, or to chnge it to one of the other 5 people who had a vote, sending that person into a runoff with Jack and Sal instead of Bacon. Mafia wouldn't send two of their own into a 3-way runoff if they could just as easily send two innocents into a 3-way runoff.
Okay, that's fair. So, I think it's probably fair to say that you and Bacon aren't working together. Which is not to say that you might not be mafia, but I am leaning more towards Bacon being mafia for reasons I've already discussed.
(Edited to include the quote from NTRT because I didn't realize my post was going onto a new page.)

Sorry, just looked back, and there were 6 people with one vote at the end. Jen and Bacon were the last two to vote.
At that time, Jack had 2 votes, and Bacon had 2 votes. Jen voted for HGH (the sixth person with 1 vote).
That left a 2-way tie between Bacon and Jack. Only Bacon's vote was left. Instead of going for the self-preservation move and voting for Jack, he voted Sal which placed all three in a runoff.
I was starting to think all this talk about Bacon being mafia was premature, but that vote seems really weird to me now.
That vote for Sal was a vote for self-preservation.
Kdogg had already agreed to leave the voting open until Jack returned to defend himself meaning a vote for Jack would have most likely resulted in me and him in a two way runoff. Obviously I would prefer being involved in a 3-way. Plus I also thought Sal was guilty.

I'm not convinced that Bacon is guilty, and don't really have a lot to go on at this point. So far SW's and Bacon's explanations seem pretty solid, with possible the exception of SW's easy dismissal of Jen earlier. The talkers seem equally innocent to me, so I'm more suspicious of the quiet people right now. For now -- and I could be persuaded otherwise -- I'm going with the quietest of the quiet people.

I assumed we were going to do some more talking this round. I still completely don't get what Higgi and HGH are doing. And I'm not big on killing someone that I'm not sure of. I still would like to actually hear from people though. Wolf >>> Roo

Ok. It just didn't seem like a typical vote because SW had already voted for you, and you acknowledged her vote by calling her a witch. Then instead of voting for her, you followed Sal (via October) and voted for Jack, giving him his 2nd vote.
And now this round Sal voted for Bacon, and so did you (although this vote makes more sense).
This isn't a connection I had considered before, but to follow up on the possibility, I need to go back now and look at who else has tried to convince us all that Jack and Bacon were/are guilty...
I can't read page 7. Everytime I click on page 7 it gives me a Quick Reply box. I may not even be able to see if this reply makes it to page 7 since I can't view page 7.
I believe this is the current vote tally... but as I understand it, there was some sort of snafu while I was at work and I want to confirm. Did we lose any posts that aren't reflected in this?
Heads-up for tomorrow, I'm probably heading out of town early afternoon and reserve the right to close voting late-night. Dent May's got me on the list for his show with Fiery Furnaces tomorrow ;D

I meant to post this last night, but didn't get a chance. I probably won't be able to get back here before Monday, since I'm going to Bear Creek today. So I wanted to go ahead and post this now, before the PMs get sent to kdogg. This is gonna get long, so bear with me.
Here's the short version of my newest theory: Roo, SW, and Sal are mafia.
Here's the long version: Round 1: SW votes for Roo. Roo sees and acknowledges her vote, calls her a witch, but doesn't vote yet.
Meanwhile, Sal votes Jack, and NOT Strum who had voted for Sal already. Ok, it's just crazy Sal, right? Maybe not. Since mafia planned all along to kill Strum that night anyway, there was no need to vote for him. A vote for Strum is wasted by mafia, so they vote for another innocent (Jack) to get rid of two innocents in the first day.
Then Jack votes for SW. This is her first vote.
So then Bacon switches and votes SW, basically saying he thinks Jack is inspector.
Then 25 minutes later SW defends herself, and votes for Bacon to put him in a 2-2 tie with her.
Then the very next minute Roo votes -- but for Jack, not for SW who had voted him. Why didn't Roo vote for SW at this point? She had voted for him already, after all. His explanation: "i have no idea...i just voted." But this vote for Jack puts Jack into the 3-way tie with SW and Bacon (all three at 2 votes), essentially saving SW for this round (instead of giving her 3 votes, she's now in a runoff with 2 townies).
At this point the votes are: Jack: 2 (Sal and Roo). SW: 2 (Bacon and Jack) Bacon: 2 (me and SW) Sal: 1 (strum)
Then bacon changes his vote from SW to Sal, putting Sal into the into the 3-way tie instead of SW.
Then until the round is over, SW and Sal both spend a lot of words refuting Jack, trying to make him look guilty. The round ends, Jack is voted off, and Strum is offed by mafia. Two innocents go down.
Round 2: To start, SW votes Bacon. Then Sal votes Bacon. Mafia vote stacking? Later, Roo votes Bacon.
Now we voted off Roo.
If I'm right, then we got our first mafia today, and after tonight, there will be 5 townies and only 2 mafia: SW and Sal.
