Hey everybody my guitar teacher/hero/mentor in my life is Ede Wright, he is endorsed by over 20 different guitar companies, recorded on all Destiny Child's, Shaggy, India Arie, Maya albums and a list of other artists.
He has played with Victor Wooten and many of the best cats in the business. He is truly the most amazing guitar player I have ever heard or witnessed and I know I lose complete credibility for saying that but if you check him out you will probably agree.
Anyways he is in a jazz trio with two of the best cats in Atlanta, drummer Chris Burroughs and pianist Takana Miyamoto, anyways the concept of the trio is a Jimi Hendrix tribute band but all Hendrix songs are jazzed up covers. He is doing 2 shows in Atlanta this friday and Saturday Oct23,24th at Churchill Grounds right next to the fox theatre. I imagine many of you are interested in hearing the jazzed version of Hendrix. They are recording the shows for live release. Check them out if you can totally worth the money, and perfect for bonnaroo if we got the something else tent again.
