So I know there are many people who like me are undecided if they're attending 2010, So I wanna know what bands would be selling points for other people to be there this year.
I'll start with my 10 and let's keep it realistic.
10. Chuck Ragan 9. Frank Turner 8. The Faint 7. Pixies 6. Streetlight Manifesto 5. The Airborne Toxic Event 4. The Gaslight Anthem 3. Rush 2. Matt and Kim 1. Blink 182 (start the hate)
If even two of these bands are there I will be in attendance without a doubt.
Fuckin, Roo could get my 10 least favorite acts and I'd still go... probably, haha.
But no holds barred, unfiltered, what the hell ever I want, yet still in the realm of possibility?
Only using acts I've never seen:
King Crimson The Allman Brothers (damn that 08 cancelation TO HELL!) Prince David Bowie Brian Eno in any incarnation Neil Young Einsturzende Neubauten (I swear, it would work, given the right slot) Aphex Twin Faith No More Nick Cave

lol @ your #1 being 182 buuut ok...
top 10 bands to get me on the farm 1 Radiohead 2 The Disco Biscuits 3 Daft Punk 4 My Morning Jacket 5 Neil Young 6 Primus 7 EOTO 8 Animal Collective 9 mos def 10 the new deal
honorable mentions to DSO, justice, state radio, mule, TMV, and pretty lights
i tried to leave off people who were there last year but i want an animal collective latenight purty bad
And wow, you're like a walking, talking infomercial to turn people away from Pearl Jam and Ohio State, aren't you? Before you started posting here I quite liked Pearl Jam and was indifferent towards OSU, now I find myself wishing that Eddie Vedder falls down a mine shaft or that Columbus is infested with locusts
Tenacious D Circa Survive Rage Against The Machine Daft Punk Them Crooked Vultures Outkast or even one of them solo Belle & Sebastian Ben Folds Cake Morrissey since The Smiths really isn't being realistic.
But I'm going to be there no matter what. I'll be getting presale ticket right at noon on Friday. I don't need to see the lineup to know it's going to be amazing.
MGMT, Matt and Kim, Bedouin Soundclash, Neil Young, Avett Brothers, My Morning Jacket, Matisyahu, Kings Of Leon, Crystal Castles, Monsters of Folk p.s. I'm going no matter I can always find a band I enjoy.

i have to say, as much as i like oracular spectacular (it could be my life's anthem). dont bring MGMT back for a third year. i didnt see them the first year, but there was nothing about thieir latenight that would make me want them back. the album>their live show. i wish i never went to see them because they are that horrible of a live band.. the album does not translate to the stage.

Even though none of these will probably be there, I'll still be there:
10. John Fogerty 9. Rolling Stones 8. Eric Clapton 7. Down 6. Primus 5. Ween 4. Weezer 3. Prince 2. Paul McCartney 1. Metallica (the reason I went the first time)
...but really, I'll be going for the good time, which Bonnaroo always provides.
10. The Flaming Lips 9. dredg 8. Dashboard Confessional (Chris Carrabba solo) 7. Opeth 6. The Mars Volta 5. Explosions in the Sky 4. Cream 3. A Perfect Circle 2. Daft Punk 1. David Gilmour a/or Roger Waters
Honorable Mentions: Black Sabbath, Porcupine Tree, Between the Buried and Me

I enjoyed their Thursday set in 2008 but I was very dissapointed this year. I didn't think they'd be able to hold down a long late night set and they proved me right. Worst show of this year for me.

i have to give you "mad props" if the reason you went to roo is metallica
that is the definition of bonnaroo to me. fuck the people who complain about how much the lineup has changed since the first few years, (do you really want to see WSP headline twice every year? i do not )
metallica and kanye were easily my two least favorite names on the 08 lineup but i made an attempt to see them both. metallica blew me away, kanye never showed so i deflated balloons. either way, i had a blast.
1. Mr Bungle (reunion) 2. Hank III 3. Prince 4. Sierra Leon Refugee Allstars 5. Wu Tang (anyone from the Clan) 6. G Love & Special Sauce 7. Beck 8. Daft Punk 9. Atmosphere or Felt 10. Flaming Lips
None of these are too far fetched except maybe DP but they're having a new CD and tour out... At Roo the possibilities are endless
why does it take specific bands to get people to the farm?? I would still go if WSP was doing two nights again...and thats saying a lot.. f the NOOBS..
anyway i'll play..
Phish Fleet Foxes Explosions in the Sky Radiohead Muse Cake MMJ Tribe The Music Pink Floyd ( Gil or Rog )

While my attendance is highly unlikely this year, if half of this list is on the lineup I'd have to seriously reconsider...
1. Phish 2. Disco biscuits 3. Jim James 4. The Machine (late night only plz$ 5. Daft Punk 6. Allman Bros 7. Neil young 8. Further 9. The New Deal 10. Orchard lounge
I'll be on the farm regardless, as the lineup's been getting better each year, in my opinion. No reason this year shouldn't be different. That said, ten acts I hope to see sooner or later on the farm:
Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds Daft Punk The Stooges Tom Waits Pavement Leonard Cohen Paul McCartney The Rolling Stones Neil Young Jay-Z
-When I Hear My Name -Dead Leaves and the Dirty Ground -Blue Orchid -Passive Manipulation -Red Rain -Death Letter -My Doorbell -Hotel Yorba -Same Boy You've Always Known -Lovesick -Little Ghost -We're Going to Be Friends -The Hardest Button to Button -Black Math -The Nurse -I Just Don't Know What to Do With Myself
Encore: -Ball and Biscuit -Seven Nation Army -Screwdriver

In no particular order except number one. But I'm going regardless... 1. Radiohead 2. My Morning Jacket 3. Ryan Adams 4. Godspeed You! Black Emperor 5. Flaming Lips 6. Daft Punk 7. White Stripes 8. M83 9. Pavement 10. Interpol
I'll be there assuming the darling husband can get the time off from work. Last year he had to call in sick two days apart from the farm, not really cool.
pjbuckeye I can't believe you put fucking Katzenjammer on the list. Saw them twice last year and they were amazing.
Okay, in no particular order REM, Spoon, Bowie, Flaming Lips, Avett Brothers, Sufjan Stevens, RHCP, Franti and Spearhead, Stevie Wonder, SCI
We'll know by the end of December if he can get the time, send up good vibes!
And, Candyflipped, I saw MGMT in 08 and thought it was really, really good. Surprisingly so. Now, I like the album, but they were much better on stage.
However, from what I've heard form people who saw both shows, it's almost unanimous that 09 wasn't quite as good as 08 for some reason. Maybe it was the surprise factor? Maybe it's the fact that within that year's time, they gained so much hype and became kind of a college level teeniebopper type act (with actual talent)?
Either way, I'd say don't bring them back. They were awesome, I say again, in 08... but I didn't catch them in 09 for a reason; been there, done that. Plus, they didn't have any new material to differentiate.
I'll probably have to skip next year and just do Wakarusa (and honestly I think they year after next will be huge....10th year).........but I wanna play so here it goes
Neil Young John Fogerty Deadmau5 Disco Biscuits Primus The Dead Phish Roger Waters EOTO Bassnectar
