AA and Elvis brought their bands to a small venue in Bloomington last night and it was much to my liking. AA really impressed me leading his band plus a few of the dearland boys and Elvis did a few songs with them. I talked to AA and his drummer/guitarist for about 20 minutes in between sets and they are great guys. All AA talked about was drugs. I talked to him for so long that I couldn't even get relatively close to the front of the stage to get any good pics of Elvis Perkins. I should have some decent B&W pics of AA. They bathed him in red light the whole time...bastards.
Bottom line, great show for $10. Catch them if you can. It's well worth it. I talked to Elvis and his band for about a half hour after the show. They were jamming out to The Band and getting extremely drunk. They were stumbling around carrying their gear back to their van. Thankfully they were staying overnight in town.
