09 was my first roo, and I didn't have the greatest experience where camping is concerned. On the day long crawl into the farm I noticed tents set up in peoples' yards.
Sooo, has anyone paid to camp in a neighbor's yard instead of camping at the festival?
Do they let you use their bathrooms/ showers?
How do I go about contacting someone willing to lease their yard and bathroom?

Thanks for the replies. I figured paying someone to camp in their yard would be less expensive than a VIP ticket. Maybe that's not the case.
I just can not imagine a situation where this would be preferable to being inside. What was it that made your camping experience so bad? You can get a lot of good advice on here on how to do it right.
Many of the reasons were brought up in the logistics thread.
The main reason is the water stations were a 30 minute walk from the camp site. In addition, I had a plane to catch on the third day of the festival and it was impossible for our car to get out. I had to pay 100 dollars for a taxi into Nashville and missed my flight anyway.

Yea, give it another chance. I can't imagine having the energy to go offsite every morning to sleep. I barely made it back to camp some nights and we were in TO.
