I always tell myself I'm gonna go to this and I never do... It seems like a cardinal sin not to go to a festival so close to home... I think this year might be the year I have to go.
Ah man Konono No 1 is so good. I hope Roo books them for 2010.
They have become a bucketlist band or me. I almost got to see them at the Black Cat, in DC but the fuggin air conditioning went out. They cancelled the show.

Haha. Then there was the Ted Leo show in Baltimore the night of the grid failure. That was a hell of a year for some shows.
A few additions: Bearfoot Bassekou Kouyate & Ngoni ba William Walter & Co. are among the noteables. Wow. Floyd is going big time for world music this year. Fine by me.
