What are some local places in TN (preferable by Knoxville) that rent RV's. I'm getting quotes of over $4K from national companies, and I have a feeling I can get a better deal then that out there.

This is the BIG dealership here in town, located on the eastern edge of town. According to the site, peak season luxury rentals are less than $1.5K for a week. Having rented RVs in state for two 'Roo's, they go EXTREMELY fast, so book one BEFORE the line up drops if you want one. They start inflating prices and booking RVs as soon as the dates are announced.

Wow, I can think of better ways to spend $1500. I can honestly say that I was only uncomfortable on Thursday night because we forgot our blankets in the car. It got mighty cold. I could care less about AC or a shower for four days.

^I agree, though when I took an RV it was me and 6 friends that pitched in, it worked out to a reasonable amount per head. The year we took it (the great Dustaroo of 07), it was worth every penny for the AC, shower, and kitchen appliances.
