Do RVs (in GA) enter with everyone else (eg. tent only and car campers)? Also, can anyone confirm that GA RV spots are located throughout the campgrounds and not just near where VIP RVs park? Thanks!
Here is the 2009 Site map, as compiled from screenshots of the map included in the newly released iPhone application.

I *think* the RV sections are tan?
We can in with everyone else last year, and then were directed to the RV (access) section. Pretty sure they don't send the RV to a different entrance. But I could be totally wrong.....
I'm trying to gauge the chances of getting one of the RV spots closest to the VIP area (as opposed to those that seem pretty far out, other than Access). Do you get to choose your spot or is it pretty much luck of the draw?

We took an RV in 07 and were directed to the tan RV spots located on the left side of the map. I would assume that if you came in through the east entrance that they would not direct you all the way to the western edge of the campground (which would be logistically inefficient for traffic flow); note that RV parking is located nearest to the three entrances. I would contact the organization to be sure though...
When I went GA RV in 2007 (not access like last year) and even last year...there is no seperate entrance like there is for VIP...you go in the same GA entrance, even for access...there is just a different LINE that they seperate RV's into when they get you inside the initial gate...for searches, getting your wristbands et al...then they direct you to where you are going to park. In 2007 it took FOREVER to get in....got in line right about 11 am and didn't get into the grounds till almost 5....and we got what looks like section 5 on the map. It was a good 15-20 minute walk to centeroo. Made that AC feel REALLY nice! LOL! Access was MUCH better. But...it also made you not hang at camp as much too. And getting out was a breeze on Monday morning!

I know the time will vary but I'm renting an RV and driving it down and was wondering where is a good place to fill up before you get there? I'm afraid I'm gonna fill up to soon and be on a quarter of a tank before I even get in to the gate because I know how those things burn fuel up. Any ideas on ways to utilize what I have better?

Sass, I think if you came in the "back way" you might get into either of the "McFly" RV areas. I am going to look for a better version of the map. I can't seem to find it right now. I'll be in the Access RV Area again this year, thanks to my son! I'll even let the bugger get the "special" wrist band for the private entrance. Damn was that entrance nice.
