Nashville folk: Muse will be playing the Sommet Center (or whatever they're calling it nowadays) on March 15! Tickets on sale this Saturday, the 19th, but there's a pre-sale that starts Wednesday.
Yikes, tickets $42.50-$47.50! Would the show be worth that price?

I'm not understanding the mass appeal of this band. Theyre ok but not amazing imo like many people on inforoo are stating. Take away their light show and what do you have? A decent rock band, nothing great imo. But Im extremely picky when it comes to music.

Where is this pre-sale on Wednesday you speak of? I see Friday. And pre-sale usually means "suck seats that you can feel superior about because you have them before the steaming masses."
TheDruid, I just read from the MetroMix site about the pre-sale, I don't know anything else about it yet. I'm curious if it's just for their fan club? I don't know if the pre-sale will make much of a difference though...the Sommet Center is a huge venue, and I highly doubt Muse will sell it out.

YES YES & YES!! Not sure if you have seen any of their live DVDs but just wow. TheDruid got our GA tix today and i am very excited! If you decide to go, let us know
Please post if anyone has a spare or comes across a floor ticket at face value or somewhere near it. I missed the sale and would really like to go but I much prefer standing room.

What makes this show TOTALLY worth it is....
The Silversun Pickups are opening!! Considering tickets to their show at Cannery were $15-$20, I would say Muse + SSPUs for $50 is a definitely worth it.
I saw Muse in 2004 at the Curiosa Festival at Starwood. I hadn't been listening to Absolution for very long, and most people there had never even heard of them. They played on the sidestage during the day. They floored the entire crowd. Everyone was standing in awe with their mouths open.... who is this band?
They've gotten all fancy since then, but I'm sure they still put on a helluva show.
Damn, I hope Muse AND SSPUs play Bonnaroo this year, going back to school has tightened my budget. I've already got tickets to see Tegan & Sara and can prob only afford Roo and nothing else.

edit: HI JULIE ;D
Hi Sarah!
I decided against Muse because of the high ticket price. Sadly, I have no shows lined up currently because of my budget. I'm too poor to take a gamble at this point And there aren't any of my "must-see" bands coming around Nashville this spring.
But on the bright side, I have my Roo ticket. And I usually knock out many of my "must-see" bands at Roo anyway... even if the headliners suck
I hate to create a new thread for the shows that come up, so I'll just put it here and hope someone sees it...
Anyone interested in seeing any of these shows? I think these are pretty affordable and are shows I'd actually like to see. I need a show-buddy!
Girls, Feb 6 at Exit/In - $10 Sondre Lerche, Feb. 13 at 12th and Porter - $18 Owl City (with Paper Route), April 19, War Memorial- $20 -- Druid's favorite venue
Saw this last night in Detroit, it was a great show! Great light show and a great performance, lots of energy. My only complaint was that the sound was terrible for Silversun Pickups who I was also looking forward too, could barely hear them. Muse sounded great though so I dont know what the probelm was. Otherwise it was a great show.
Can't smurfing wait for this show Monday! My friend won tickets from Grimey's . We will be on the Silversun Pickups guest list
I'm going with Druid, hoping I will get to meet you
Yes! Apparently we missed each other the other night at Rod y Gab. My friend Jen and I will definitely be there, hopefully meeting you guys at Big River before hand.
