So I recently purchased a Wii and was pleased to see that Nintendo made available a large catalogue of classic NES games for download. I'm playing them as much as if not more than my Wii games.
Some personal favorites of mine:
Punch Out! Castlevania Super Mario Bros. 1 & 3 Excite Bike
Feel free to reminisce of ignore this thread entirely....

^I get that a lot about my dislike of Mario 2. I played and beat all 3 when I was younger, but I just didn't like some aspects of it. Still a great game, though, just not a personal favorite.
And I completely forgot about Marble Madness....Hell yes!
The only NES game I've downloaded onto my Wii has been River City Ransom.
Then again, I still have my NES* and most of my old games to this day.
* The top-loader version that was released around the time Super Nintendo was launched. I had the regular old NES, but picked it up anyway despite a meager paperboy's salary. Considering all the frustration I've seen the older NES cause my peers, I think it's one of the smartest purchasing decisions I've ever made.
I loved Sega as well. I don't really play any type of video games now but wii has impressed me. I played Mario Party and that 4 player Mario game as well and am now debating if I should get one.

Haha yeah, the original can be a real pain sometimes! But I think there in a certain charm in having to have just the right touch to get a game to load (blowing on the cartridge and deck with all one's might and just barely catching the lip of the game on the edge of the deck...)
All of the Zeldas and all of the Mario Bros are downloaded to my Wii I bought the classic controller and have to say that they get played alot more than our actual Wii games
I hacked my wii to get the homebrew channel. Then I installed an emulator and now I have @1,000 NES games. Some of my favorites that haven't been mentioned:
I never did beat that game, even with adult attempts on my cousin's NES... Anyone ever get past that racing level?
Good god that level is IMPOSSIBLE! A friend and I beat it on an emulator, but only because we could pause the game and save it at any point, and then try to get a little bit further and save again. It took a long ass time to beat it that way though.

Oops double posted.
I ended up finding a working power glove at an estate sale for $4, and I still have an Advantage, Nes MAx and Powerpad (not sure if it works very well anymore).
Now I am focused on getting Bioshock 2 and I still need to buy the Prestige Modern Warfare 2 with Nightvision goggles (that work).
