I'm curious to hear other explanations for that first vote, aside from Mafia going after Jack or Mafia defending Airline.
If Airline isn't Mafia, and Wolf isn't defending him... what's the justification for Wolf's guilt? I always thought his innocence/guilt was through association with either Hippie or Airline, respectively. I've offered an explanation for that first vote, and while mine has been responded to - putting me on the hot seat on which I presently sit - I don't think anyone else has offered an equally substantial explanation. I think that might be why Mafia's after me now.
Bek and I have both posted alternate theories about that.
1. Bek said it's possible that Jack was guilty, and the townspeople got lucky. She said it has happened before, so it seems plausible.
2. I said it's possible that neither Jack nor Airline were guilty. If that's the case, then mafia would have no reason to stack the vote; they could split the vote, knowing that an innocent was going down either way.
3. You (kdogg) said that Airline may be guilty, and mafia stacked the vote agaist Jack to protect Airline.
I'd say those are 3 equally substantial possibilities.
and btw, while i appreciate the effort it must have taken to put all that together, your final conclusions are wrong.
The only conclusions I drew were 1. that you, Kel, and HGH have not implicated one another in any way throughout the game, and 2. that each of you have agreed with one another's theories.

i took it as you implying that the three of us are in cahoots. my apologies if that's not the case.
what i will tell you, and everyone else, for the final time is this...vote wolf off this round, and see what happens overnight. even if our inspector/deputy is killed, one of them will still be around to guess tonight, thus eliminating or implicating another supposed innocent.

Well if you want me on the record, then I'm going to go ahead and say that I'm pretty sure Hippie and HGH are working together. And I believe that either Kel is being misled or possibly the third mafia member. I just didn't bother posting because it seems that every single townsperson immediately jumped on the Hippie/HGH bandwagon.

Well, yeah I was definitely implying that the three of you could be working together -- so there's no need to apologize -- but I didn't come to any conclusions that you three are guilty. All I concluded was that you have consistently agreed with one another's theories and you have never disagreed, and you have not implicated each other in any way. Those things can't be said of any other group of three players (except Jen, Bek, and me, and we know Bek's innocent).
btw, it didn't take long to put that list together, because I keep those kinds of stats as the game goes along.

i can understand why it would look that way. but two of us look like we're working together, because in a way we are. just not in the way you think. and the third might just see the things we do. how is that unusual?
Post by nitetimeritetime on Jan 11, 2010 21:04:17 GMT -5
It's unusual in this game because already in the second round you can't find three other people who have 1. consistently agreed with one another's theories and 2. never once cast suspicion on each other.

so because we only suspected a certain number of people, we're guilty? honestly, i think kdogg's accusations of EVERYONE reek of mafia trying to plant detours. but that's just me.
certain townspeople have all but spelled out to you who they are. no one else is making the claims they are. either figure out the clues or let mafia kill us off.
i will be voting wolf this round, kdogg the next, and then whomever the inspector/deputy figure out overnight.
so because we only suspected a certain number of people, we're guilty?
No, it's not the number of people you suspected that is important. I also didn't say it made you guilty. In fact, I specifically made a point of saying that's not what I meant.

Give me some credit, I'm not a fucking moron. There's no need to be cryptic here; anyone following the game knows what you're talking about.
Besides the fact that nobody else is making those claims (even though there are two players dead already), what makes you so sure that you're not being deceived?

i would find it very hard to believe that both the inspector AND the deputy were taken out in the first two kills. the mafia doesn't get their names, and no one had even begun to suggest they were either role. even if one of them were taken out by chance, where is the one left to say "they're lying!"??

Ok, I didn't want to give it away, but I'm the inspector.
Nah, not really, I just always wanted to say that. I guess you can put in the "most skeptical townie EVER" column. Last game convinced myself that my theory was right, and handed the mafia a victory because of it. I'm trying not to do that again.

if you think kdogg's guilty, and HGH has already confirmed it, that would mean you agree with her. so if you agree with her about kdogg, why not about wolf?
Post by nitetimeritetime on Jan 11, 2010 21:58:55 GMT -5
That doesn't necessarily mean I agree with anything else HGH has written. The fact that we agree about kdogg is just a coincidence; I'm not basing my suspicion on anything she said. I'm completely basing my vote on things kdogg has said.

so then how is the fact that me, kel, and HGH agreeing isn't just coincidence? taking into account what you know about about two of us...
not trying to attack you here. just trying to get you to trust me. and honestly, if i were mafia, would i really spend this much time replying? if there's anything i've learned from past games, it's that the littlest slip in wording can get you black-balled. i have nothing to hide, thus i have no worries in trying to explain my reasoning.

Left to Vote
Since there has been so much discussion I am not going to wait to go to the run-off for at least 4 hours and maybe until tomorrow depending on the amount of discussion.

Wolf >>> Hippie >>> Kdogg
I'm really disappointed with the way this game has turned out. This has all the feel of one or two games ago where we (townspeople) just willing accepted the spoonfed truth from the mafia. I hope the innocents who I am presuming are NTRT, Jen, Airline, Higgi, and either Kdogg or Kel spend a little of time to see how ridiculous my beyond a shadow of a doubt guiltiness is.
If I'm right that leaves us at: Vote Tally Wolf: 4 votes Kdogg: 4 votes Hippie: 1 vote Jen: 1 vote
