I wrote this originally as a personal journal entry the day I got home. It's a true story about an experience I had on Sunday night of bonnaroo 09. But it came out to be pretty bizarre, amusing, and funny (imo). So I thought I'd like to share it with anyone that would care to read it. I'd post it here but it has content that is unacceptable for this board, so here's a link:
It looks long but is written in mostly short sentences, so it's a pretty quick read.
(disclaimer: It contains NO NO WORD!!! content and profane language) (disclaimer #2: This story is clearly a work of fiction. As we all know, there are no NO NO WORD!!! at Bonnaroo)
I grew up worshipping Rock and Roll like a religion. I know its shortcomings and strengths but have loved it unconditionally all the same since I was eight-years old. I ran away and joined the circus and honestly, I'm still as obsessed as I was as a boy. I'm not a kid anymore but I still remember how it felt and it doesn't really feel all that different to me now.

In retrospect I actually don't mind that Bruce joined them onstage. It was kind of cool. I skipped bruce sat night and it gave me an opportunity to see the legend do his thing. But at the time... I totally wasn't feeling it. It really did feel like he ruined everything. At the moment it was an unwanted intrusion.
