Maybe more schools? wtf? There are already people being arrested and schools firing people. How are you that dense?
Still waiting..
In the meantime, congrats to your guys on holding it to 29 points yesterday. Louisville had no business being in that game (seriously, they shouldn't even be allowed to have a basketball program at this point).
Admittedly the Pelicans are the most inconsistent team there is. And we lose some weak shit. Tonight was the low side of a 40-15 run, but we battled back under Boogie Cousins’, 40/20/10, first since Wilt the Stilt.

That's pretty cool. We have a tough assignment with you mfers tonight though. Boogie is hosting his 2nd annual comedy slam tomorrow night at the Saenger. I would have gone, but I'm broke as shit until next Wednesday.
The problem with the Pelicans, and I don't know what the answers are, begin with Dell overpaying for Asik who was a pretty decent player in Houston but not effective here (and admittedly had been sick for half a season with some type of colon issue). We also bet the house on Quincy Pondexter (who I like, but he hadn't lived up to the contract they gave him to play the 3) which I didn't understand. He's decent, but unproven as a major player. And we lost him for like 2 seasons before cutting ties. Solomon Hill isn't terrible off the bench there, but he's out until at least some point after the All Star game. We have mega contracts with Jrue Holiday and Anthony Davis. And I think to keep Davis happy, we're going to have to find a way to sign Cousins. We may have top pay option there, but if I was Boogie, I would not have signed an extension this year. I'm testing free agency or demanding a max to stay. He likes it here, so we do have that going for us.
If I'm the Pelicans and want to try to get him to sign, it's a high risk play. Cousins can get whatever he wants in free agency, and I'm sure we're not going to want to pay the luxury tax and suffer the cap consequences when we might already have to stretch out Asik's and Ajinca's contracts just to find money to sign anyone next offseason. It looks like we've opted not to unload him, but the trade deadline is still 2+ weeks away (2/8/18). Maybe they are already talking about doing some type of 3 year extension or something to try to put together a contender before Davis has the option to make whatever he wants. It's a fucked up spot to be in for sure.

the Asik, Anjinca, and Hill contracts are albatrosses. Moore, Nelson, Clark are all so meh to me, Jrue and Rondo are great fits, but yeah Jrue probably makes too much. I also don't really know where Cousins will end up if he doesn't get resigned.
Hill is okay if he can come back. He's not worth the amount we have invested, but he can be a solid contributor. Asik and Ajinca (I like both of those guys personally) just didn't work out. We'll probably (like I think I said or meant to) stretch some cap money from one of their contracts if we are able to get Boogie to re-sign. Nelson and Tony Allen are probably just one season vets playing here. Ian Clark has a shot to stick, and I actually have grown to dig E'Twaun Moore's game because he gets plenty of our clutch 3's. Rumors swirling around the league right now (which are probably all bullshit) have Lebron coming down to play. Hahaha. Literally no chance unless he wants to play for free. We'd dominate as long as we had those guys, and would probably be the best big 3 of all time. But I'd give it a 0% chance.

lol yeah 0% seems hopeful at that.
moore's a fine player, but he probably gets more minutes than he would on a team with better guards, he's averaging 10 more minutes than he's ever played and his rebounding/assist numbers are the same theyve always been. I get it with the guys he's playing with, but you'd think 10 more minutes per game would translate to more improvement than 3 more ppg, which amounts to a shot (his %age increases honestly account for that more than the minutes too). clark i think is going to be one of those classic championship contributor who falls off hard kind of players, but he's still young.
really? id say its a tossup rn between Houston and San Antonio.
I think it's better than 5%, but I don't want to get my hopes up as a fan. It really seems like he'll leave Cleveland at this point. I think the Lakers are also in play.
