UNC has a guy injured and Felton is suspended. Honestly, if the rumors about Felton's suspension are true, he's done for.
yikes, he hired the attorney who worked on the Duke case, and defended another UNC athlete for rape charges. probably nothing good coming from that. raymond felton is probably going to eat his emotions as nephew goes down.

Is this being handled in Honor Court or have real charges been pressed since this morning?

i think it's just retaining someone for damage control so he doesn't say something he shouldnt. the lawyer made a statement saying this was an interim suspension
Not NBA but I got you some new shit in Houston with Carolina Reapers. I’ve been waiting for lemongrass and ginger and shit to make its way into crawfish, and we get a new place this year called boil that is going to be doing a Vietnamese inspired (what they are anyway) boil as one of the 4 types of crawfish they’ll be doing. But this shit in your town is new level.

hey sang_xcx, your team is dirty. At both shooting the three and injuring one of our most versatile players.
I'd call UNC's defense pathetic but that would mean it exists.
That was a huge win. We haven't been this good since I was in high school. 18-4,7-3 in the ACC. Sucks that your guy got hurt, but it wasn't a dirty play. It's about time that something good happened for Clemson against UNC. Feels good.

I'm just bitter. Pinson definitely got pushed mid-air, but it was in the flow of the game. If he's out for more than a game or two, we're done for. I don't see us going far in the conference tournament or even making it to the dance or NIT the way we're playing.
yeah I just watched it like 50 times trying to see everyone's reactions. not that canaan is a big factor, but this season's standings seem like they're going to be pretty heavily affected by injury. pbev, tiodosic, gallo, griffin all get hurt and it leads to the trade (not that it wasn't coming, but it exacerbated it), Peli's and Wizards might drop out of the playoffs now. Spurs at the 3 is probably where theyd be but clearly it would be different with kawhi, similarly with the celtics. If the Gobert isn't hurt early, Jazz probably have a better shot at the playoffs, but they seem too far back rn. I wasn't big on the Griz this season but they're a different team with Conley. idk seems like a lot more than usual.

I didn't actually see the injury (they didn't show a replay on ESPN and I heard it was worse than Hayward so purposely didn't watch it) but seeing the reaction of all the other players and fans at the game gave me the chills.
I think Memphis, Utah and Pels will all miss the playoffs directly because of injuries which is super lame (although as a Nuggets fan it might get us in there).
This also just drives home the point the Popovic is a literal god. In my opinion the greatest basketball coach of all time and up there with the GOATs of coaching in any sport. That dude is amazing.

i would say it's right up there with Hayward, George, Kevin Ware etc. (GOAT gruesome injury still belongs to Joe Theisman imo), but its not like his bone breaks out of the skin or anything.
the really gut wrenching part is theres a moment where he's by himself and you can clearly tell he's in shock. like generally there's some writhing, wincing, or attempt to stand, something like that, and he's just stone face looking at his leg.
dirk was basically the only person who didn't seem super phased by it

kinda off topic but Dirk is my favorite player of all time

Dirk > Duncan likability for me.
I'm pretty convinced he's going to retire after this season so i'm going to try to catch him when they come to town soon.
Looks like we traded Asik, Jameer Nelson, Tony Allen and a protected (1-5) 1st rounder to the Bulls in exchange for Mirotic and a 2nd rounder that we originally shipped to them when we sent Quincy Pondexter to Chicago. They also get the rights to switch 2nd round picks with us in 2021 at their option. I don't know how he'll fit in at this point in the season, but we need help in the front court with Cousins on ice. The deal was supposed to go down yesterday, but the Pelicans weren't willing to guarantee both years of the contract (which they opted to do today). NOLA.com reports that the Bulls are expected to cut Allen and Nelson freeing them up to be free agents. I love Tony Allen, so maybe there's an outside shot we can sign him back to a remainder of the season kind of deal.
Obviously we weren't going to be able to replace Cousins, and now we have unloaded Asik's contract so we don't have to cut him and stretch it. Maybe we'll be able to hang on for that 1/2 spot if Davis and Mirotic are able to play well together on the court.

mirotic is good. i kind of wanted him as a possibly cheap(er) option than some of the people we were targeting last year. the bulls have been much better since he got back from being lit up by Portis, but clearly they value Portis/devalue Mirotic in the locker room more, so take that for what it's worth. Defense/offense clearly he's no cousins, but his spacing should work great for you, and he could easily end the season as your best 3pt shooter.
i had seen that y'all might get monroe, who maybe in a vacuum id like more (since he's a good offensive player, good passer, more similar to cousins) but i think the biggest thing with NO is the spacing, so i like this move better.
Monroe is supposedly still in talks with the team. I think he did his own buyout from the suns as he allegedly wanted to come play here (he's from New Orleans). Also, I meant 7/8 and am not sure how I typed 1/2. IF we were fighting for the 1/2 spot, it would be a couple years down the line. :/

sucks. looks like BOS was able to double their offer, and they still have trade/injury exception to use with the leftovers. monroe/mirotic would have been a good way to mitigate the loss, mirotic/shedding asiks contract still pretty valuable, but rich get richer, NOLA still going to have to figure something out to stay relevant this year.
i had read some rumors that he would try to bring Bradley back, but Doc also drafted Bradley and is pretty high on him so not sure itll happen. with this signing thats probably off the table.
